Xbox 360 Pre-order Round-up

xbox 360 bundlesWith the Xbox 360 Launch exactly 2 months away, I thought it might be interesting to take a look at the current state of the Xbox 360 launch from a CAG perspective.

Online options appear grim as the only non-bundle choices appeared briefly on Amazon.com (via Toys R Us). Orders (including my own) were canceled a few days later and the non-bundle options were replaced with $800 bundle monstrosities. As of this moment, only their Core System bundles are in-stock.

EBgames.com recently announced they were sold out of their bundles and most brick and mortar locations have already pre-sold their allotments. The same is true for most brick and mortal retailers as it seems stores are just not receiving many units at launch. Those of you who have not yet reserved and are looking to pick up a 360 in-store will most likely have to do a bit of camping out at your local Best Buy, Circuit City, Walmart, or other retailer who is not taking preorders.

I must admit that my Amazon order cancellation, combined with my experiences playing a dozen or so Xbox 360 games has me rethinking whether or not I want or need a 360 at launch. Microsoft has not yet convinced me that its time to say goodbye to my current Xbox, especially with the slew of great games being released now. What about you?

For those of you who are already sold and/or just want to keep informed, click the link below to get the current scorecard of Xbox 360 online pre-orders. Costco was the price leader with the least obnoxious bundle, but they too are now out back in of stock.
