Along with Pokemon Y for the Nintendo 3DS, I also picked up the Xerneas/Yveltal Blue Edition 3DS XL console. This makes my 6th DS in total and I am waiting for a special edition of the 2DS! :ziplip:

I actually had some trouble getting my hands on the blue edition of the console. To start, I had it pre-ordered under my name, but I did not know when it came out and I never received a phone call when it did come out, 2-3 days before Pokemon X & Y was to be released, I gave the EBgames I pre-ordered at a call and confirmed if I have the console there under my name and they said yes, I asked if it is okay if I picked it up with the game since the weekend was near and the employee told me yes. When I got there on the release date of the game, lo and behold, my console was sold "We are not obligated to hold the console after 5 days of its release date". I wasn't too happy, I picked up the game and they told me they will try to find the console from another store and give me a call. The next day I decided to come back and get my refund and go to an EBgames I knew had it in stock, I got my hands on the last Blue edition they had.

I used my Zelda edition 3DS in the mean time to play (I only play during my commute to work).

The console itself is very nice, I been waiting for a 3DS XL that looked great and this was it, though I would much rather choose the gold one released in Japan, but this will have to do =).

The console itself does not feel as premium as the original 3DS build, but I feel it does offer a longer lasting battery, which is great if you have 3D and Wireless on!

Here are the rest of the pictures of the consoles, I won't be captioning today but I am lazy!

For the game itself.

It is very refreshing, maybe it is because I have not played since Sapphire, but all the Pokemon are new and exciting to me, it feels like I am playing Reb & Blue again for the first time with a hint of JRPG (due its new visual presentation style).

One thing I would like to say...Roller Skates are the best thing to ever happen!

You can a Torchic right off the bat along with a Starter and a second Starter from the Red/Blue series!

Wow, six DS's.  Clearly you're a collector, which is cool, but I would never own more than 1 of any console.  The DS I have is like that fat silver one in the top-left corner, except mine is blue.  I should probably upgrade but the DS just hasn't appealed to me like it used to.

thats my favourite one
