Why am I so weak?

Seriously, I cannot pass up a deal sometimes. I have a ton of games already in a backlog thanks to some nice sales. Recently got a PS3 so I immediately pick up a dozen games, what the hell? I already have an xbox 360 backlog. They aren't even all PS3 exclusives.

Does anyone else have this problem? When a game reaches 15 bucks and I am mildly interested in it, I can't resist.

Welcome to the life of a CAG dude! :) Seriously though, $15 is your price floor for any game? I'm down to $5 to try any game. $15 is still a bit high for some games IMO.
Not any game, any game that's already on my radar of stuff to pick up. Assassin's Creed II, Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, God of War III, Dead Rising 2 all come to mind as recent pickups in this category.

5 dollars for games not on my radar but are highly rated I'd probably swing too. Picked up Dirt 2 awhile ago on steam and played the hell out of it, and I'm not much of a racing game guy.
welcome to the club.
we should start a CAG rehab clinic if this keeps up
Seriously, it's like one minute I'm saying, "gotta stop checking CAG every hour" and the next I'm saying, "ooh shiny, must buy"
This is kind of like asking people on a gun forum if they like shootin' stuff.

My buying comes in waves. I hadnt bough any games for a while then I sold some on ebay. Two days later - BAM, 40% your entire gohastings game order coupon comes in the email. I checked out with 8 games in my cart. Who needs 8 new games at once??
Yea my buying comes in waves too. I'll go for a few months without buying a single game, and then I'll buy as much as 5-10 games within a few weeks span. It just depends on the deals and if the games are on my radar. It's the CAG lifestyle my man!
I bought 10 games this month and I've still got 10 games from Black Friday I've either rarely played or haven't played at all. I think its part of being a real CAG having a huge backlog since we buy cheap games. :D
Yeah, that is the biggest downfall to CAG... I joined CAG already having a backlog and it only got bigger as I learned how to find great deals on games.

I pretty much don't even consider games that are over $20 now (with a few exceptions here and there) once it goes under $20 I start watching the game, $10-$15 I start getting more interested and then pretty much anything under $10 I can't resist.

I hate it because I don't want to keep buying games, but I just can't stop... how can you pass up a $50 or $60 video game when it is $4.98... that would just be wrong!!!

I guess I would rather have 5-10 games for every one full price game that I could buy... at least then I have games that I can get to eventually... buying one expensive game you play through it and that is it... at least with a backlog I have options... trying to think on the positive side :D
Your not alone....im trying to pick up test drive unlimited but there are no copys in California....got 12 games on my playlist as we speak.
weakassgamer?
lol.
most of us here are like those girls you see on tv that buy fancy clothes and splurge when they want to.
the difference is... we buy fancy videogames (or what WE individually think is fancy) and we do it over a computer (aka online shopping) or we rush out of our man caves only for a special deal.
50% off corn dogs!? nah.
20% off specific videogames!? I'M THERE.
typical mentality of folks lol.
I'd advise you not to trust that ho.
My rule is:

$60/Full Price: Only if I really REALLY want it (The Rockstar games this gen, Pokemon, some 1st party Nintendo Stuff, God of War III)

$40: Only if I want it and are on the fence on whether I would love it (Mass Effect 2 felt perfect at 40)

$30: See above, with the only difference being not getting around to buying it until then. Also my holding point for games I want but are sure of instant price drop (Basically, every Suda 51 game).

$11-20: Games I've always wanted to play but never felt I needed to play right away, and usually purchased for something to play over the weekend. It's usually my biting point for things like cool looking fighting games and RPGs (since I dont touch those genres frequently, or anything cool looking I never got around to buying (Bioshock PS3).

97 cents-$10: This is usually reserved for Sears, Amazon, used Gamecube/PS2 games, and the occasional bargain bin at my local comic book store. Games range from Lunar: Dragon Song ($1) to GH:WT disc only ($4) to The Legendary Starfy ($6) and quite a bit in-between. Surprisingly, most games purchased at this price range are new, including all 3 listed above. As long as it turns SOME profit at Gamestop, and I've never heard anything bad about it, I'll try anything in this spectrum. I remember buying Rock Band 3 DS for 4 bucks Sears, going to GS for trade in value at the other end of the mall just to find out it brings in 4 bucks TiC, and then walking all the way back to return it to the Sears. Turns out IGN gave it an 8.5...part of me feels a little bad about it, but the other half realizes it was a necessary move.
