I'm bored, so I thought I'd write up and share my gaming progress so far in 2013. It's not terribly interesting, but here ya go.

Also, I have an extra code for "Toy Soldiers" on XBLA that I think is still good. I'd rather give it away here to the blog readers then on the code-drop thread. So if you comment with your thoughts here, I'll enter you into a drawing for the code.

PS3 & Vita:

Thomas was Alone (PS3) - 15 trophies; 100% - Decent platformer, a little bit too simple for me. The indie story didn't do much for me.

Guacamelee (Vita) - 24 trophies; 35% - Only half way done, a fun brawling platformer so far.

Rayman Origins (Vita) - 8 trophies; 11% - Beat this on Xbox 360 last year, replaying on Vita. Great platformer.

Labyrinth Legends (PS3) - 10 trophies; 100% - It was ok, never need to play it again.

Okami HD (PS3) - 47 trophies; 88% - Amazing game, I had never played it before. A classic!

Soldner-X 2: Final Prototype (PS3) - 2 trophies; 5% - Only played it for about 15 minutes.

PlayStation All Stars Battle Royale (Vita) - 21 trophies; 43% - About half way through the single player, I've really enjoyed it so far.

Knytt Underground (Vita) - 13 trophies; 61% - Game filled to the brim with exploration. It was fun and something different, but I was glad to be done with it.

Uncharted 2 (PS3) - 7 trophies; 8% - Only on Chapter 6 so far. Need to get back into it.

Zen Pinball 2 (Vita) - 5 trophies; 14% - I love this game, I wish they would put more tables for sale on PSN.

Plants vs. Zombies (Vita) - 31 trophies; 68% - Third time through this game, it was fun to play through with a full set of trophies to go after.

Frobisher Says! (Vita) - 9 trophies; 58% - Free game. I'm glad it was free.

Darksiders II (PS3) - 38 trophies; 78% - Pretty good game, not as fun as the first, but worth a playthrough. Kinda glitchy.

FIFA Soccer (Vita) - 20 trophies; 37% - Awesome to have FIFA on the go!

Super Stardust Delta (Vita) - 4 trophies; 11% - Fun so far, need to get back to it.

Hustle Kings (Vita) - 1 trophy; 2% - Played it for maybe 10 minutes.

Pinball Arcade (Vita) - 4 trophies; 3% - Only own the core tables. Fun game.

Ecolibrium (Vita) - 2 trophies; 9% - Pretty dumb free app. Glad it was free.

F1 Race Stars (PS3) - 22 trophies; 23% - Fairly lame kart racer, wouldn't recommend.

Critter Crunch (PS3) - 1 trophy; 4% - Only played for a few minutes. Seemed fun so far.

Sleeping Dogs (PS3) - 39 trophies; 50% - Great game, probably one of my favorites from 2012!

Motorstorm RC (Vita) - 14 trophies; 27% - Mediocre top-down racer. Got frustrating at times.

Dokuro (Vita) - 31 trophies; 100% Platinum - Excellent puzzle/action game on Vita. One of my absolute favorite Vita games!

WipEouT 2048 (Vita) - 12 trophies; 13% - Challenging futuristic racing game. Not really my style.

Sound Shapes (Vita & PS3) - 68 trophies; 53% Double Platinum - Main game was okay, I really enjoyed the challenging "Death Mode" levels.

Tokyo Jungle (PS3) - 4 trophies; 19% - Only played for about an hour. Love the premise, need to get back into it.

Jetpack Joyride (Vita & PS3) - 16 trophies; ~50% - Excellent mobile game, very addictive.

Earthworm Jim (WP7) - 7 achievements; 50GS - Controls don't work well for this on a mobile platform.

Home Run Stars (X360) - 23 achievements; 230GS - A Kinect game all about hitting home runs. How could this not be awesome?!?

Mark of the Ninja (X360) - 29 achievements; 350GS - Amazing downloadable game, one of the best games of 2012.

Wordament (Web) - 10 achievements; 50GS 100% - Fun Boggle-like online game.

Wow, that is a lot of gaming. I've only finished 9 games so far this year; I average about 20 per year, so I guess I'm close to my usual pace. I couldn't agree more with your impressions on Darksiders II, Sleeping Dogs, and Mark of the Ninja. As for Lee Carvallo's Putting Challenge, I recommend going with the 3 wood and selecting "power drive".
Yeah, I'm happy with my pace so far. Sometimes I get in gaming funks, but so far this year I've kept that to a minimum.

I think I beat more games per year than a lot of people, but that's because I focus A LOT on smaller, downloadable titles, which are usually my favorite. I've only beaten 3 or 4 full size games this year.

Also, when I say beat, I really mean I "did as much as I want to do" in the game. I probably only put 5 or so hours into Motorstorm Apocalypse because it never clicked with me. However, I still consider it "completed" because I'll never play it again. WipeOut 2048 is another game where I didn't do a lot of the things I could do in the game (though I did complete the main campaign in that one).

Man, that's my strategy for every golfing game! Even a game presumably about putting.
@tylerh1701- Motorstorm Apocalypse never really clicked with me, either. I put a few hours into it, then put it down and haven't gone back. I never played the original Motorstorm, but I absolutely loved and played the crap out of the second entry in the series, Pacific Rift. I would recommend you try it, but since you said you don't really like racing games, maybe that one wouldn't grab you, either.

@handsomepete- Ha ha, mine too. My "recommendation" was actually a reference to The Simpson's episode the game was in. They show Bart playing it, and the game recommends he use a putter, but he selects a 3 wood. Then it recommends he select "feather touch", but instead, he selects "power drive". Then he smacks the ball into the parking lot and decides not to play again.
"Would you like to play again? You have selected No".
I would have appreciated Bonestorm more then the putting challenge. But excellent progress. Congrats.
