What are you playing this weekend? - House of Cards Edition

Posted by tylerh1701, 14 February 2014 · 681 views

Eh nobody's posted anything yet. I'll go ahead.

House of Cards Season 2 is already out on Netflix, I get off work in about an hour. I'm having a small party with a couple friends and a lot of booze. We'll watch a few episodes tonight, I'll probably go home and pass out, then have to re-watch the episodes tomorrow. I'll slowly work through the episodes over the long weekend, definitely be done with them by Monday or Tuesday at the absolute latest.

Gaming-wise, gotta get my daily Smart As... fix. Also started up DJ Hero on Xbox 360 (working through my 360 backlog, would like to have it cleared out in 3 months) and it's quite enjoyable. For the most part the music is really good and it controls well enough to be fun. My wrist does hurt after too much spinning but such is the life of a DJ, I suppose.

Beyond that, not too much. Debating picking up Earth Defense Force for Vita (it's on sale this week for $10) and that's about it.

What's everyone else playing?

I got my tax return recently so I'm just paying bills, shopping for the household and getting something for me and my son. Gaming wise, I'm still playing Bravely Default. I've been playing about a 1 or 2 a day. Saturday is a slow work day so I will play more. I'm thinking of getting a PS4 but I got a monster of a backlog on my PS3. I might hold off on getting one for the time being.

My PS3 backlog is what's holding me from buying a PS4 as well.  I'm hoping to hold out for a limited edition console of some kind.

I'm going to be playing World of Tanks: 360. I just downloaded it. Its pretty damn addicting. I'm also going to playing RE:REv.

Maybe I'll beat Yama(?) in Spelunky...maybe. I got to 5-3 in a Daily Challenge then a bad bounce into a tiki ruined it all.

Otherwise I'm still playing Eternal Sonata. On Chapter 6.

Finishing up the of Assassin's Creed 3.Playing this I get the idea that the team behind this didn't know what made Assassin's Creed good, and just added a lot of unnessary and annoying things to it.

Persona 4 (it's currently around early August in that game) and Pac-Man Championship Edition DX+ (mostly just have a few time trials left) for me this weekend.

I think I am going to play episode 2 of The Wolf Among Us. Less than 80 points away from 60,000 Gamerscore. yea I know, achievements are lame, but it is kind of nice to see a number change (like watching your odometer change in your ride).

Tomorrow is retro game night #2 with the girlfriend, my buddy and his recently laid out because of back surgery wife. Thinking Wu-tang Shaolin Styles, 94 Lillehammer Olympics for genesis (because its relevant), Boogerman, Captain America & the Avengers (genesis) and maybe a trip to the local indy game shop to pick up some extra goods to go with the pizza and beer.

Also, playing the "being a graduate student is a lot of tedious reading" game and "finish yo' taxes" w/ the DLC "wash yo dirty clothes".

FarCry Classic - having fun on Normal mode. Getting closer to 9000. =)

Smart As - still working on Street Smart 30/100.

Left Behind dlc - waiting on Redbox, 0% for main game lol

ps. 50 trophies left

Ratchet and Clank: Into the Nexus, Rayman Legends, and I'm still playing a lot of Powerstar Golf.  Same games I've been playing for the past month or more.  Problem is I can never seem to find time during the week to make any progress through these games, and the weekends haven't been much better lately.  Stupid real life responsibilities.

I'll be starting Assassin's Creed III.

RE: Rev is in my backlog.  I played the first hour or so and enjoyed it immensely compared to RE6.  Even if it did scare me a few times.

Oh Spelunky.  I made it to the Temple once before and that's the best I can do.

Yeah, besides handsomepete here on CAG, I haven't heard of many people really liking ACIII.

I just passed 75,000 Gamerscore myself.  I'm gunning for 80K before I sell my 360 and cleanse myself and turn into a complete Sony guy.  You're friends sound fun, my friends only ever want to play CoD or sports/racing games.  I wish I had a few IRL friends who were willing to dip into other genres.

So you're enjoying FC Classic more now?  Yeah I need to get going on the Street Smart Challenges as well, I think I'm at 26 and have a new week to play that just opened yesterday.

I beat Legends on Vita and it was a lot of fun.  I'll definitely get it again on PS3 or PS4 to play through one more time.

I'm on call until Tuesday morning for work, but in between fixing people's heat I'll be playing the Titanfall beta (downloading now) and looking to play some Lego Marvel coop on my X1. Not sure I'll have time for any PC or 3ds this weekend. Also hoping I don't have an emergency calls during my basketball game in the morning. We have a rematch with the team that beat us in the finals last season.

lol, yea, the more I keep looking at it, the more I just want to get rid of my xbox. the main issue is I have some games that are exclusives in my backlog, the other being I don't want to lose my save files for Fallout 3, NV, Mass Effect and Skyrim. Everything else is really just waiting for a trade to the PS3 copy. I do have a few friends on live that I will miss though.

my friends are alright when it comes to gaming, although the dood who is hosting tonight is very particular. I can give him a game I think is top shelf, and he will play it for 5 minutes and hate it. But, he got on board about six months ago with collecting old school stuff and since all 4 of us tonight are of the genesis era of gaming, it kind of works well with the nostalgia.

Him and I get into fighting games a lot, but I usually smash him for twenty minutes and he quits. You can add me on PSN if you want, I don't really do the COD thang

Still working on Diablo 3.

Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon is my backup this week.

10hrs in on Bravely Default.  Enjoying the game so far.  Loved the ability to increase and decrease random encounters.  Should be able to do this on all RPG.  Don't have the patience like I once had. lol

Professor Layton (need to beat it before the new one comes out!)

Mario 3D World (still need to beat the final level, but it's sooooo hard)

Transferring Pokemon with PokeBank

Can't decide on what to play first in my backlog:

Windwaker HD (played original)

Sonic Lost World

Wonderful 101

Pikmin 3

Zelda Between Worlds

Fire Emblem Awakening

Elder Scrolls Oblivion AND Skyrim

Ninokuni
Ratchet and Clank Into the Nexus

Puppeteer

Zone of Enders Collection

Kingdom Hearts 1.5 (played all 3 originals)

This doesn't include digital games. :P

Want to get some knocked out before all the 2014 games! Open world (too long) and remakes (already played) are kinda at the bottom of games I wanna play.

That is a shit hot retro game night lineup.  Thumbs up.
