What are you playing this weekend?

Friday :D

Hello Holiday Weekend. 2 days off work for me(stupid Saturdays). This weekend I plan on taking my kids to do some fun activities around the city. Recently restored a old bridge in Louisville to be a bridge people can walk across to get to Indiana, granted the Indiana side isn't finished yet the bridge is still open to walk/ride bikes to the end. Also I'll probably take the kiddos to an inflatable indoor park. Thats fun for the oldest and myself ;)

Game wise I am now addicted to Final Fantasy 14 A Realm Reborn. There isn't a genre of video games I like more than MMOs and ARR is one of the best I have played thus far. I am enamored with the world, love the different jobs/classes you can take on(never played 11 outside a brief stint on the xbox so this is new to me). Definitely going to be spending a lot of time in Eoreza this weekend and many future weekends to come. I will also try to sink some time into Guild Wars 2, GW2 being my favorite MMO I can't quit it just yet. I also picked up Out of the Shadows on the xbox. Its a fun little game for 14.99 I mainly bought for my son to try but the difficulty of the game when I was playing co-op with buddies suggests a 4 year old would likely be frustrated by it. So that is probably a shot purchase. The game has a lot of control issues and camera glitches. I praise its old school values of death/no checkpoints restart at the beginning of the level, thats all well and good. But when the game glitches on you 30 mins in a chapter and no enemies are around and you have to restart that sucks. Still I feel its worth 15.00 despite its technical short comings, its almost worth 15.00 just to hear the Turtle Power song on the start screen. Deff give it a try before you buy though, as you may not have my childhood sentiments to the Ninja Turtles and be able to forgive the issues this game has.

I would love to be apart of the FFXIV:ARR fun, but sadly, due to the stupid set up of registering codes, I have to wait for CS to fix my account. (Which doesn't sound bad, except it can take up to TWO WEEKS by just submitting the ticket by itself. Apparently getting hold of a CS rep is the only way to speed up the process, however, I have invested 10+ hours in trying to do so.)

So yeah, if all else fails, I guess I will be picking back up Dragon's Crown or something.

ALL THE GAMES.

(Greetings from PAX Prime!)

(I did start a fresh game of Barkley, Shut Up and Jam: Gaiden for this trip, but don't know how much I'll be playing it while PAX is actually going on ;))

Yays! 3 day weekend!!! So far I'm almost done with Tales of Grace f. I just finished the main story last night. I'll start the next part of the story later. I went back to playing the Vita. Right now I'm burning through Lego Batman 2. I might play Touch My Katamari. This will be my first Katamari game. I also downloaded Muramasa Rebirth from the PSN sale last week. I planning on getting FF14 but I don't want to start playing yet since I have so many games I want to play through this weekend.

I beat pretty my everything I had on my current playlist, so I'm proud of that.  Only one I haven't wrapped up yet is Capsized.  Oh and I didn't beat Metal Gear Rising, ended up trading it int to Best Buy for $23.  $7 profit was too much to leave on the table, and next time the game is $15 or less I'll rebuy it.

Also bought State of Decay this week from a CAG and beat that.  Good game, but I don't understand why it blew up as big as it did (I think it may already be the 2nd best selling XBLA game of all time).

As for what I'm actually playing, I'm in the middle of Dragon Fantasy Book 1 on my Vita.  I'm having fun with it, it's giving me a few brief reminders of the original Dragon Warrior, one of my all time favorite games.  I mean, it's nowhere as good, but it's still fun.  I'll probably just beat that this weekend.

Also, UFC 164 tomorrow, fight of the year for me.  Henderson/Pettis II.  Hopefully "Smooth" rocks him!  I'll be at Buffalo Wild Wings watching that.

Me and a few other CAG/Twitter friends are on Malboro when ya get up and going!

Enjoy your weekend! Malboro Server when you eventually let the addiction of FF14 corrupt your gaming schedule!

Never heard of State of Decay quick google search shows it looks awesome. Ill have to keep an eye out for a sale

Since classes started back up, I'm back to playing games I can play in short stints. So that means this weekend will most likely be all WoW, MLB 13: The Show and FFXIV: ARR.

The randomized missions and stuff are a pretty cool idea, gives the game some longevity. Randomized loot is fun too.  It's not quite deep enough to hold most people's attention for way too long, but there's still lots of stuff to explore after beating the game.

Im getting ready for Grand theft Auto V by playing a few San Andreas and GTA4 missions.   I had forgotten how much fun those games were.  Ill grind a bit more in Persona 3 FES and get my quick game fix with NBA 2k12 and Avengers Pinball on the Vita.

Have you already started ARR? If not join us on Malboro!

I can't wait for GTAV myself, I am not a big big fan of anything rockstar has done outside of Bully, Vice City and RDR but I am looking forward to hopping on LIVE with my buddies for some GTAV

Hoping to put some time into Saints Row 4 and Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons.

I already started up on Siren! Currently a level 15 Thaumaturge and 7 Weaver. Enjoying the game so far. Not as much as I do WoW, but the game has some great stuff going for it.

finally coming back to Dead Space.  I wish I was more motivated to tear through it - it's a really cool game, just having a hard time sinking my teeth in.  for like a year off and on.

also, pinball!

I have been taking a decade but I have finally 'almost' beaten Fable: TLC (PC). I am basically about to beat Jack (again) and then I will be finished. I am going to see if I can do what other CAGs do and try to play two games. I am looking into playing Primordia (getting beyond the beginning) and hopefully looking at another game which I am not sure about yet. I am looking into watching Elysium if possible. I am able to relax this weekend and so I will take to play and watch shows too that I have missed.

I'll be playing Final Fantasy XIV this weekend... Assuming Square-Enix will let me play.

Mortal Kombat, Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D, then Star Ocean Last Hope, then gotta run a DDO raid train Tuesday.

I have rededicated myself to playing through Diablo 3 and this long weekend is the perfect opportunity for me to start it back up.  Not sure what else I'll play other than that, but I've been playing a little bit of Dust on my 360 so maybe more of that

hmm, I honestly am not sure what I will be playing this weekend. Earlier this week I finally got a new laptop, and as the first computer I've had that can actually run most games, I've been looking over my steam library and feeling like a kid in a candy store. I'm gonna have trouble sticking to anything now I can finally play my 100+ games I've been scavenging from sales and bundles. It's almost all too much to take in ^_^

I have family in town so if I can sneak in some time it will be FFIV on the PSP. I snuck in some time during the week and am ready to take out Zermous on the Moon but I think I need to level up a ton first, so gonna go find a few more summons and other randomness. I'm playing the Complete Collection and although there is added features I really don't care to do them (I'm talking in the main game, going to play the interlude and after years when I beat Zermous)

Just got Saints Row: The Third off PS Plus, so that's my weekend plan for gaming. Pretty fun game so far, I'm not a fan of the sandbox GTA formula, as it feels like the old 'if you played one, you played them all' -- but there's enough humor in Saints Row that it keeps it fresh. Though, it hasn't convinced me to buy the 4th game, and I'm glad I didn't pay for it.

Enjoying it so far
