What are you playing this weekend?

Friday :D

What up! I don't have to work tomorrow, praise be allah. However as soon as I give up weekends for the year at my year round job I go out and pick up a seasonal job at Toys R Us. I must have some tick in me that when we cut back to 40 hours a week here, I feel like I need to find somewhere to work the additional 15 I'm going to miss out on. Factoring in the Holidays coming up, TRU seemed like as good a place as any to work(given they will get all my money in Christmas gifts anyway) for the discount. I landed a job in the electronics department given my Gamestop background. I've only worked one day so far, and my take away is an alarming number of parents yell at their kids in public if my first day is any indication. I haven't worked in retail in years so while I have heard of the Skylanders Phenom I haven't seen it in person. Almost every transaction I did was Skylander related. Maybe week in and week out I'll fill this space with something interesting that happens in the land of retail, as anyone who works it can tell you, you meet the most eccentric of people.

Gaming this weekend will be as per usual a nighttime ordeal. Ni No Kuni is on deck only 12 hours in right now, and my one complaint is why does every JRPG gotta throw in some weird gimmick these days? Attack, Magic, Items, Escape and maybe a bar that randomly pops and says "Limit" "Special" whatever. Traditional JRPG I'm old damnit, I don't need 9-12 party members to switch to on the fly for situational stuff. Ni No Kuni has all the charm of DQ8 from its story, to its exploration, beautiful world. Sadly the battle system turns me off, but as I like every aspect of the game but the battle system I will see it through.

Outside of NI No Kuni, I'll jam some Guild Wars 2, some Grand Theft Auto Online and thats about it this week.

What are you playing this weekend?

Same old same old for me.  Still plodding my way through the GTA V single player.  I tried the demo of The Wolf Among Us last weekend and I liked it.  I may just go ahead and buy Ep 1 and the season pass.  I loved TWD, and WAU looks like it will be similar, where choices you make shape the story.

Ditto - same as the last two weeks, still plodding through Assassin's Creed 3.  I really couldn't be happier with it though, unless the ending is a total stinker (which I already have low expectations considering the series' penchant for silly endings) I'd say this is hands down my favorite Assassin's Creed game.  It even explains:

Spoiler

There's just so much to do and none of it seems particularly stupid.  Plus it's pretty to look at.  I just can not figure out why people bitched about this one so much.

Also, Dragon's Crown.  Nice to have the co-op fill up again with the PS3 crowd available in Vita land.  I'm almost at level 60 and about 26 hours in and I'm just now starting to hit my upper limit for grinding the main story, so it'll be nice to get on to the last difficulty and start playing around in the end game stuff.  I don't know if I have it in me to hit level 99 though, so I might not get to see the end-end game.

I just started Paper Mario Sticker Star. I'm enjoying it right now so I'll be playing that for the weekend. I might get back into GTA V and start GTA Online. I want to create my character while Rockstar is still offering the $500,000.

I may be buying that as well, I got The Walking Dead on a deal and it was great but I definitely missed out on being able to discuss and predict events with people in between episodes I feel that would have added to the already great TWD experience.

I want AC3 if I can get it on the low, I beat the rest of them this one looks enjoyable as well. Also grabbing Dragons Crown one day hopefully during that Gamestop 29.99 Black Friday sale.

That 500,000 will be welcome for sure. Waiting on it to buy my apartment.

Pokemon Y has absolutely consumed me.  So most likely that for me this weekend.  I kinda want to start AC:Revelations and complete it and move back onto AC III before IV comes out.  Watch Dogs getting delayed till spring was a good thing IMO.  Now I can get caught up on Creed. :D

playing gta v online ps3, grinding away for money so i can afford to pay my expenses, like buying ammo, utility bills for my high luxury apartments.

For the most part, I'll playing a lot more Pokemon X. I've arrived at the Elite Four so I'll dispose them and check out what the end game is all about. Need to get that Garchompaurite!

If my friends nag me enough to play GTA Online, then I'll toss some of that in.

Good luck with the weekend job!

I'll be playing Ys Origin. It was the last Ys game I had left in my backlog, and, so far, is just as much fun as the others. I also need to pick up Return to Castle Wolfenstein again and get past a certain boss in that which has been giving me trouble.

Still playing Pokemon Black 2 as well, want to check out the demo for The Stanley Parable, and there's new Tropico 4 DLC which I might pick up this weekend if I'm in the mood for some island management.

Been playing only FIFA 14 since it's release but I actually just started Bulletstorm...decent couple of chapters to start the game. I should have no issues finishing it.

Good luck at TRU!

Meant to mention that I'm all for you sharing horrifying retail stories.  Them's some of my favorite kind o stories.

I picked up a play card for World of Warcraft, so I'll be playing the new Raids this weekend. I'll probably also get in some Final Fantasy XIV if I get bored.

Pokemon X and GTA V here.  Looking forward to finally getting some time to spend with these after a really busy week.

Attack, Magic, Items, Escape and maybe a bar that randomly pops and says "Limit" "Special" whatever.

I feel just the opposite.  I get really bored if a game's battle system is nothing more than the basic 20+ year old design.  Without some complexity, my brain goes numb and I usually end up quitting the game before I get to the end.

I have been trying all damn week to play horror themed games, but SH HD did nothing for me last night. The Walking Dead Survival Instinct is on board, my friends sister in law let me borrow it.

I think I am going to resort back to GTA V, probably not online though. Really need to pick up Diablo 3 again since I finished the GTA story last weekend.

Aside from that stuff, I am playing the "go look at apartments to move into" on Saturday and "Finish the second half of a mid term exam with the paperwork submission at the office DLC and some new indie game called grocery shopping madness/boring laundry on Sunday.

No idea what I'm going to play.  I'm going through one of those "I have so much to play, I don't wanna play anything" phase. :-(

I am currently playing through Metro 2033 (PC). I am about chapter 5 for anyone who knows that part. It is definitely difficult at some parts. I am going to finish episode 5 of The Walking Dead. It looks to be definitely a ending I do not want to see but I must finish it. I am doing some errands this week. Possibly watch a movie. Other than that I am getting ready to get ready to leave my job to work in another one which has better career advancement.

I don't know.  I started Joe Danger 2 a couple of days ago and I should probably start on inFamous 2.  I also kinda feel like I should play a DS/3DS game.  Eh, it'll probably be Joe Danger 2/inFamous 2.

Won't have too much time this weekend for playing, as I'll be at a Halloween party on Saturday -- but I'll probably get in some Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions on the PS3 on Sunday. Pretty fun game so far...no Arkham City, to be sure, but one of the better Spider-Man games I've played. I'm still partial to the PS1 Spider-Man game...

And, speaking of superhero games...Arkham Origins next weekend! I've been waiting months for that one! Though not rushing it, time flies by way too fast as it is.

Pokemon X, and possibly Dark Moon.

Played an hour of Puppeteer earlier today. Pretty good game to play while my daughter watched. Got her in the Halloween spirit:)

:ps3: EyePet & Friends - My 3.5 yo son is asking me to play this game.  He seems to get a kick out of it; OTH I'm tired of it.

:ps3: NFS: Most Wanted

:ps3: Costume Quest - I wanted to play a Halloween themed game and this one is pretty clever as a RPG.

:psp: Corpse Party - So far not scary and humor is of the juvenile bathroom kind.  It also has one of my main gripes: Me not knowing what to do next and mindlessly wandering around clicking on things until I trigger something.
