Does anyone know if there are any deals out there where you could trade in your Gamecube (plus additional cash of course) for a Wii? I really want to get rid of my GC to get Wii, but don't want to sell in on ebay.

I think Best Buy had a deal last year where they would buy your XBOX for $180 if you buy a 360 from them. Luckily for me I didn't do that because the 360 backward capability game list is horrible.

Hopefully, BB will pay like $70-$80 for your GC, then Wii would be less than $200.

That would be nice, but there is no chance in hell they would give us $70-$80 for a GC. Hopefully I'll eat those words, but I don't think so.

It's still too early to tell what kind of trade-in offers there will be. We don't even know what the retail price of a Wii is. I'm guessing there will be something to the effect of $10-$20 extra credit for whatever system or x number of games that are traded.

I agree that GCN won't get $70-80--the DS is more expensive and gets less than that in general.

This is why I have a few $2-5 dollar gamecube games lying around.

If i'm selling mine, should I just offer it on ebay with the GBA adapter still connected?

EB/Gamestop is offering $45 after the $20 extra I think. That's a lot better than selling it on ebay and having to deal with shipping it and stuff.

And if you still have the GBA player, I would sell that separately. I think there are a lot of people here that would want to buy one.

GBA player is pretty much the only reason (practically speaking) to hold on to a 'Cube. Unless the Wii can somehow play GBA carts, or they make some sort of add-on for it that can.

The only reason I'm keeping my cube right now is because of multiplayer madness.

Which is why I'll probably hold on to mine

Unless you have a couple dozen games to play in the next 6 months, that is.

Which is why I'll probably hold on to mineSame. No other reason 'cept it has almost no trade value now and it will only get worse.

I hope they accepct 05 sport games when this happens. I know when there was a trade in special for PS2, it didn't matter what games you traded in.
