7.49 NFSU Rivals, Madden 06 @ TARGET, possible YMMV

I picked up a NFSU Rivals for PSP at target today for 7.49+ tax. It was marked w/ a red clearance sticker. There were also a ton of Madden 06's for 7.49 as well. Trying to clear out before '07 I'm sure.

Better then the CC clearance 8.96. For anyone that missed out on the CC might be worth a shot to see if your target is clearancing it out.

edit: This was in Louisville, KY. Got the last one at hubbard's lane, but the other target's might have it as well.

I suspect it was actually Madden 05, as thats the version I've seen on clearance at a couple of Targets lately. Madden 06 PS2 is still being sold on the Target website for $29.99.

Oh wow OK. Targets round here are still clearancing the 05 for $7.48...I guess maybe they're waiting for all those to go before they mark the 06 down.

Target clearances are usually YMMV. While the same items may be on sale at different stores, the prices will sometimes vary.

Yeah same here. Its also still on the website for 29.99. I don't think its meant to be on clearance at all; my new theory is that they meant to mark down the Madden 05s to $7.49, but some inept employee just saw "Madden" on the 06s and marked them down too. I wonder if the OP tried to to buy one of the 06s, it would ring up as 29.99 despite the clearance sticker on it...

and sometimes the items will not even be on sale at different stores even in the same city. I remember when Darkstalkers was like 7.48 but still ringing up normal price at another target

I checked another store -- still $29.99. However, Madden '05 rang up at $7.48, so I'm assuming there's where the confusion is.
