so last night/this morning a group of us when to the Mohegan Sun casino to celebrate one of us turning 21. We all expected to lose money, as we should, and some of us did. However, all of us who had never gambled before until then, got rather lucky. One of us won $500 on a 25 cent slot, on the third spin. near the end of the trip, with the rest of us in the red, one member of the group, who brought $30 and spent $25 put his last $5 on game of craps - of which I had to put down $5 to coax him into it. He rolled. And rolled. And rolled. He had an 18 role streak which had myself, the birthday boy, and mr craps newbie winning between $85-125 per person. While the birthday boy still lost a little bit, it put me in the green by $24, and it tripled our third person's starting money at the end of the day. To reward his good luck, I bought our roller a donut from Krispy Kreme.
The lessons learned from the trip:
1. Beginner's luck can and does happen.
2. Give in to peer pressure, its fun and profitable.
The end.
