According to this, SNK is releasing some Arcade Archives collections on the Wii. Obviously, this makes it clear that the Wii is the system that SNK intends to support fully. Given that these aren't called "Fighting Archives" like the PS2 compilations, it's very likely that these compilations will be all of SNK's other games like Windjammers, Shock Troopers, Baseball Stars 2, etc. (it looks like NAM 1975 is definitely on there.) And I can imagine few things more awesome than getting Baseball Stars 2 on the Wii.

They're putting out Metal Slug Anthology.
Three words I never thought could be in such succession.

My only concern with Metal Slug Anthology is that SNK might make it so that the Wii version can't be played normally and you'll have to aim with the Wiimote or some shit like that... if that were the case, I'd get the PSP version without thinking twice. I just hope that SNK doesn't get too creative and fuck these up.

I don't think it'll be too crazy, unless they feel like completely recoding the interface for all five games. Ideally it would be an optional control scheme using some of the remote features.
Having not played any of the more recent Metal Slugs, do they need more buttons than would be available using the remote NES style?

I wonder if these are disc based or VC. If they're collections than probably the former.

You should just need shoot, jump, and grenade. So the controller should be fine (assuming it has shoulder buttons... which I think it does.)

Neo Geo Battle Coliseum is awesome. I heard King of Fighters 11 is really good too...have you played either of those?

I can confirm that KOF XI is awesome.
Though if Mooky's going by Samurai Shodown V and SVC Chaos... then yeah, I can understand. Those were terrible.

Neo Geo BC is a highly unbalanced game and a bit on the annoying side. It's very enjoyable for SNK fans, but so so for casual fans... pick up at your own risk.
I'm glad to hear SNK is backing up the Wii. I was afraid I would be getting a Wii for just wanting to support Nintendo for their creative output, but now I at least have some titles I actually want to play very much :)

If they include online play, awesome.
