I went to FYE today to Pre-order a Wii (And thanks to D. Monic for the heads up) and the lady at the register said, "You know, there's alot of Wii games coming out in October"

...I'll leave it as that. I'm just stoked that I finally pre-ordered a Wii!!

lol. This is about as reliable as someone at best buy telling you a release date. They don't know yet! Nintendo hasn't said a single word regarding a month.

OK? So? Games can come out before the system. Besides that, nothing's set in stone. Yeah, there's a lot of games with October dates. There's also a lot of games with November dates.

I wonder how often that's happened in history though, and how long before the system launched. I know Kameo and some other game came out about a week before 360s were on the shelf, but I can't recall that ever happening before.

This is as real as the local Best Buy employee selling his PRP's on the Xbox 360's by saying "The hard drive platters get really hot and literally melt all over the system."
My friend worked retail from 2000-2002, and he said some PS2, GC, Xbox, and GBA games arrived well before the systems release dates. There were a few for each system.

Yes I remember the GBA games shipped at least 2 weeks before the system. Hell the DS Lite was sold 10 days earlier than it was supposed to.
