So, what difficulty is everyone using? I blew out a team on All-American, but was getting blown out on Heisman.

Great game though. Really fun....lots of small details I noticed.

Ya heisman always kicks my ass, but all-american I normally win by 14-21 points. There are close ones though every now and then. Last night I played on all-american and won 17-14 it was a bad ass game. They tried a 50 yard field goal to tie it, but fell about 5 yards short.

Yup, i'm using All-American. Tough games against like Michigan and Penn State so far, but I blew out Georgia Tech the first game of the season. Still 3-0 with the Irish with Quinn and Smardzjia the top 2 Heisman Candidates.

I've been playing on All-American but I tend to blow out the computer constantly........ I've been waiting for the rosters to come out [tonight hopefully] and then i'm changing to Heisman and starting a Hurricanes Dynasty. I got bored earlier and started a UK Wildcats Dynasty using the DT guys rosters and on Heisman level. I'd never touched Heisman this year and my first game was my sorry Cats vs the Louisville Cardinals. I hung for a half and then several cheap turnovers screwed me. I've got LOTS of rebuilding to do with these guys! :D

Be warned there is still massive amounts of cheese online. Just got done playing against UM. All he did were qb scrambles then throw to the wr/te on a slant. Worked every time no matter what. Tried everything to stop it. HIs running back (miami) also could run through every guy on my defense. So basically the AI is still retarded..especially on slants

Just finished my first season up with the Irish. An early season loss to Michigan landed me in the Orange Bowl against Miami. Won that and finished up 12-1 with the #2 ranking. Brady Quinn did get the Heisman and Smardzjia did get the best WR award, so all was not lost. Hopefully this doesn't predict the future though.....

I wish mine would just stop. I'm assuming it's not the disc, harddrive, or system. We have 2 360s and it seems to do it on both, i've returned it and got a new copy. Not sure whats going on it is a little annoying but nothing I can't play through. If anyone has any ideas let me know.

yeah just go to the settings on the very first menu and I think you should be able to change it.
Also if you do decide to go Heisman I found some pretty good slider settings that I like

It was very close to unplayable. So I'm losing in the fourth and the cheeser has succeded and has the game well in hand so I concede defeat to him and he rejects the offer. The game was over but he wanted to boost his stats. Being up by three touchdowns with about 4 min left wasn't enough for him. This guy really had zero sportsmanship. He cheesed all game running the same play, going for it on fourth down, etc. So after the game he offers me a friend request. FU buddy, lol.

Yeah online seems pretty hit or miss with lag. I've played about 6 or so games and have had slow down in about 3 of them. If you would like to play me sometime let me know, I don't do stupid shit online and try to play pretty realistic football.

Right now I have been doing my dynasty on default settings. I have been tempted to up the settings to All-American since the game have been really lopsided. I am finally starting to get back into the mode of playing. I got to get the practice up before the CAG League starts

Yeah, I will play with the sliders maybe after I play a few more games in my Dynasty. I'm sure the Notre Damn game will be my tell-tale sign. If I blow them out....Heisman difficulty. I like a challenge, but sliders may be the best option.

Anyways, the game is really good. I got helicoptered diving into the end-zone with Mike Hart. That was cool.

I have sucked at all football games in the recent generations. I was great back in the Tecmo and Madden for Genesis days. Should I grab a guide? I just got NCAA and love it but don't like losing 38-14 to NC State (I'm BC).

Just practice....not really sure what a guide will tell you. The more you play, the more familiar you will get with the game. Do you follow football at all? Learn the plays, learn what works. Start with default difficulty and move up gradually. You have to learn when players are open....don't just go throwing balls around willy-nilly either ;)

Yeah I'm a big Patriots and BC fan. I hardly miss a game. I think my problem is that I suffer from Bledsoe-itis.....that is, by the time the brain processes the coverage schemes I get sacked or I panic and throw a pick. I wish I could practice more :roll: . I was thinking the guide could help in terms of scouting and learning what works for my team(s).

I think I read it has to be 5 minute quarters and at LEAST Varsity. So, difficulty should be ok. Mini-Games can be at any level....which are pretty easy at Freshman.

I am having the lagging problem on the Dynstay Mode also but it goes in spurts some games it is really bad and others it does not happen. I even had a game that the kicking meter did not show up as i was playing as Notre Dame vs USC but that is the only game that has happened on

I have a slight lag at times....but it's nothing to be too upset about. Doesn't effect the gameplay at all.

Yeah, I have that, even in exhibition mode games. It's always at the end of the play so it doesn't bug me too much, it better be gone for Madden.

Played my first dynasty game as Oregon State, and man was it a crap game.

Final Score: Oregon State 3, Boise State 0

Neither team had more than 200 yards of offense, hopefully there will be a few more points scored in my next game.

Maybe its just me... I feel like I have to control everyone on defense now as the AI for my D doesn't do anything as a FS, SS, or LB. They let them catch the ball and then I have to switch over to tackle...

Anyone mess with sliders? I'm blowing out people now on All-American. I had one close game 22-21 (Mich vs Notre Dame) (see ablove), then I play Mich (#7) vs Penn State (#10) and I BLEW them out 53-14. Not sure if this is momentum meter or not. Can you turn that off?

5 minute quarters. Don't modify that to get achievements.

I usually EJECT the disc before I play then use the "clear cache" trick where you hold "A" down while the game is loading. When I do that, it works fine. When I try to just start, I occasionally get a read error.

Hmm. I bought it from someone on the forums for pretty cheap, but not cheap enough to raise suspicions. I could always swap it for another copy at somewhere like Wal-mart and see if that helps. It's the only game I've ever gotten the disc read error on. I've had a couple of freezes in the last few months, but no disc errors until now.

Edit, but I'll try clearing the cache first. I forgot about doing that. My hard drive is getting pretty filled up, so maybe that's causing problems. I still have over 6 GB though.

If you bump it up tp Heisman and mess around with the Defense awarness slider you will not at all have this problem. The AI on Heisman can be tough and they can be very smart if you mess with the sliders. What diffuculty are you playing on?

Yeah, I think the momentum meter has something to do with this. I may bump it up though, since i had only ONE close game in my Dynasty (half-way through it)

Played my first dynasty game as Oregon State, ...

Funny to hear someone else say this. I rolled through BSU (actually played them twice, first game was 21-14, but I didn't realize I had to manually save.., 2nd time was 49-10).

Only dissapointment so far (as a Beaver fan) is Reser Stadium. Looks like they threw together something from the 80s and incorporated part of the current stadium, but on the wrong side of the field. Oh well, maybe next year.

So is there a way to change my targeted players at the end of the season, or am I just stuck trying to recruit all these sophmore and junior players?

LOL just finished my 1st regular season in my Canes Dynasty up till Bowl Week. Miami (13-0) plays Oklaholma (12-1) in the Championship game since OU beat out 13-0 West Virginia by .001 in the BCS, lol the rednecks are rampaging!

Stupid Chris Leak won the Heisman over my Tyrone Moss #2 in balloting..... Leak finishes #2 for best qb award, #7 for the Maxwell 2nd team all-american and his team goes 10-2. My guy wins every award he is eligible for and is 1st team AA on undefeate champs in waiting. Moss got robbed bitches!

Can't wait for more recruiting, GOOD TIMES! :D

I would first practice and play on Heisman and then bump in up on try some sliders. I have been playing and moving sliders as I go instead of using someone elses sliders. It helps to cater you more. Heisman does have some really great AI escpecially when you get to moving the sliders around. This could be the best football AI I have seen.

If you wanna cheat your way to it, as I plan to, start a new franchise and select the top 12 teams to be user-controlled (12 is the max you can select). Then sim a few seasons and you should get it... according to what I've read.

Damn, this game is still good....I like my Modified Heisman sliders. I blew out the last two teams with them, but they were Ball State and Indiana vs Michigan. I have Ohio State as the season finale. Currently I'm ranked #5/#4 in Media/Coaches Poll, but ranked #3 in the BCS. I may get snubbed from my National Championship shot.

I already have a few commitments too....I may need to look for a QB and RB if Henne and Hart leave. Anyone use Michigan in a Dynasty, did they leave early? Breaston is injured for the season too....nice senior year.

So, what are the tricks on recruiting? I finished my first season (I won the National Championship with Michigan) and my recruiting effort was lackluster. I could not get the BIG prospects. I think I was 5th in recruiting, but I didn't really fill TOO many needs. The 5-stars I got were ok, but nothing I wanted.

The only person that left early was Mike Hart for UofM, I convinced the rest to stay, which was easy....Hart won the Doak Walker award, so he was ready to go pro. I usually only play about 4 seasons or so before giving in to Madden. I like to see all my prospects go pro though. Hopefully my next season will go good.

If you were ranked 5th you had a pretty good recruiting class. But the trick is to find what they are intrested in ex. prestige, and them keep using points towards that. I had the #1 recruting class and got 9 5 star players by doing this. Also as you progress in dynasty mode if your team is doing well more players will want to come there. Make sure you are going after only intrested targets and targets from your pipeline states.

Ok, I'll try to stick to more of the GREEN target players. I thought I did ok, but I want the #1 class. Maybe next season. It seems like all the 5 stars I wanted I threw "The House" at them, and they all walked away. Oh well, my team still should be pretty good....except for my rookie LB and weak depth at CB. Fun fun.

Hopefully I do better at In-Season recruiting also this time around. The first time it was an afterthought. Although, I did get one HIGHLY rated prospect, that I may Red-Shirt since I have major depth. Anyone have issues with red-shirting a "good" freshman and having them transfer after the first season?

I mainly went to fill my needs, which I did a good job at. I didn't really go after any 5star players if I didn't need that position. My team should be good as I filled all my positions with mostly 4 star players.

I also play with Miami and after year 1 I had 4 guys want to go pro early and 1 wr want to transfer.... I got all to stay in school except the RG Morse who went pro as a junior... Recruiting was kind of rough, I ended up with a top 10 class but with major holes. I couldn't sign a center to save my sole and both I had the previous year graduated... Ditto that with kicker and punter I ended up with walk-ons at all 3 spots. I moved a stud guard I recruited over to center and am dealing with the troubles at kicker..... I was pretty much all lineman and skill players last year in recruiting now this year i'm recruiting a nasty D and of course more O-line. Already signed 2 top 20 corners and have 3 more 4 star D guys visiting me this week vs Notre Dame. Miami life is good, I love NCAA and can't wait to draft my guys into Madden! :D

Finished year 2 of my dynasty today... I know a couple others have said they use Miami was your team raped yet by early entry guys wanting to go pro? I had 7 guys want to declare this year! I let SS Kenny Phillips leave without question since he was 99 overall but the other guys I convinced to stay (probably should have let my 93 overalls LT & LG & FS go but I am greedy) doing this wiped out nearly all of my week 1 recruiting points so that's good times.... This would have been on top of the 7 offensive and 5 defensive starters Miami loses to graduation after year 2...... Landed the #3 recruiting class in the country and Kyle Wright won the Heisman last year so life is still good in Miami. :D
