I'm suprised Kameo didn't do better. I thought they would be all over that (+5,121 at least?!?).

I knew the xbox 360 was doing bad in Japan, but I didn't realize the numbers for total units was that low...

It's very interesting to see that the US's #1 360 game is Japan's last.

I think its not hard to understand why a World War II shooter with a storyline about the Allied nations is a bad seller in Japan...
In fact, I'm surprised they'd even release it there.

Agreed. Though it does make you wonder if there is a copy of MOH:Rising Sun in Japan.

That is impressive, considering all five Japanese people own a 360. :D
Does anyone have a Xbox to 360 comparision? Like how well the xbox sales were at this time in its life in Japan compared to the 360? Just wondering.

I noticed a lot of Asian Ridge Racers on Live, and they kicked my ass too.

The Japanese Xbox 360 owners are likely looking for stuff they don't get from the more common systems. If you're a big FPS fan in Japan it can make you a bit of a oddball. For those shoppers Kameo would be too conventional.

I read a story around the time that came out that said the game was selling good on PS2.

I remember back when MOH: Rising Sun came out it was in the top ten best selling games in Japan on Official Playstation Magazine's list. And really how many Americans have German ancestry that don't have any problem blowing Nazi's away in COD, MOH, BIA, etc. People in this day and age are smart enough to make the disctinction...most of the time anyway.

All of the commentary that I've heard says that the xbox 1 was doing better at this point.
To put this in perspective: 277,000 xbox 360s were sold in the U.S. in the month of June alone.

I noticed a lot of Asian Ridge Racers on Live, and they kicked my ass too. There might not be another Ridge Racer coming to Xbox 360, since Namco expected to sell 500,000 copies, and they haven't come close (The U.S. version sold 20k-30k, from what I remember).
I'll probably see them though, because RR6 will be the first X360 game I buy. :)

New Super Mario Bros probably sold more in a month than that entire top 20 list combined. Now that's sad.

Number 1 and 2 are definitely not surprises... I'm really fucking surprised though that PDZ and Need for Speed are so high.

It's only a 2.6 - 1 Game to System attach rate as far as the top 20 games are concerned. Thats horribly low for this long afte ra consoles release.

Uh, what?
Ridge Racer and DOA are fighting and racing games, of which are a dime-a-dozen. Kameo is a hell of a lot more unique than those (and I don't even really like Kameo)

For comparison, can we see the sales of the Top 20 US Xbox 360 Games?
Should be funny.
