I figure if this was a repost more people would be talking about it. Anyways, I broke down and ordered Arc the Lad PS2, and it showed up today. Along with the usual ads they throw in, there was this coupon taped to the game:
"Guaranteed Buy-Back! The earlier you trade the more you're paid."

WTF? I've never heard of buying a game for 16 bucks and getting coupon to be able to tade it in for 25. I know Resident Evil was $5 at BB, and Mega Man NT is 10. I know nothing about Sonic, but $31 of games for 75 credit seems SMOKIN HOT. Plus whatever Sonic is.
The only prob I see is that I'm 99% sure it's B&M trade in. The closes EB's to me are over an hour away, but I might have to take a trip if I can get a hold of some of these games to trade in. Anyways, just curious if other people got one with their EB orders, and give a heads up to people who ordered Arc (and maybe MegaMan NT) that you might be getting a pleasant surprise.

LOL - they can't. The dates are clearly marked on the coupon. There's no language in the fine print that says they can modify the offer. They've protected themselves by including no photocopies and 1 per title per person, so there's no way to exploit the deal. This one is legit.

but for 2003, not 2004 those games came out about this time last year, between may and july and they do that with their new releases. those games were new releases then not now. what probably happened is that someone last year left there coupon in there and since eb doesnt check their shit ever, it was still in there when you received it. i called a store a few minutes ago to double check and the guy said the same thing.

you would think but you have to inspect those coupons pretty carefully. you have to really think, eb, for as stupid as they are, still know how much these games are being sold for at bb (and at their own stores for that matter) so they would not offer that much trade. hell my store only sells ATL for $8.99! but if there was not a date on the coupon you could try to have an argument with a manger there, they most they can say is no!

HAHA - that makes sense. And there is no year. I might have to try it just to see what the manager says. I'll take down my dated receipt - not my fault they put it in my order.

I Just order a game two weeks ago got it last sat and i order one monday and got it today i got nothing about this deal in either of my packages i did by both games used however this may be a reason for that

I don't think it's worth anyone's time to even try. VERY doubtful you'd get anyone to accept it. I'm all for going for any obtainable and legal scheme/scam but i think this one is stretching it. The employees will know those games are very old. Even with a big argument I think you'd come out losing.....they will know something is up.

Uh, there's no coupon code, you have to be in possession. And there's specific fine print that says NO PHOTOCOPIES, so I'm not going to scan it for you to attempt to use it.
