I'm sure this was a given, but confirmation is nice.
New video game coming in 2007 will bridge Episode III & IV. The footage shown at the event was mind blowing as LucasArts incoporates new euphoria technology taking next generation gaming to a new level. You will want this game no doubt about it as it uses both new and old characters to tell a story that has some incredible revelations.
From Steve Sansweet (director of content managment at Lucasfilm) at the San Diego Comicon via Rebelscum.com
I really want to see that footage that they speak of. Here's hoping that we can get a trailer or some clips soon.

Sounds good, but I'm really hoping for Knights of the Old Republic 3 some time soon.

If by "Taking next generation to a new level" they mean "This game will suck on a next generation scale" then yea, I guess they are right.
If a Star Wars game dosen't have the words " Knights of the Old Republic", "Dark Force / Jedi Knight" or "Battlefront" then it's a given it won't be that hot.
I see the whole "incorporating old and new characters" as "Hey, fans will buy our game no matter how shitty it is if we market it to them! Hurray!"

Awesome. Another Star Wars game.
They should make the next one in outer space. How fucking awesome would that be?
Real fucking awesome, that's what.

Saying there's a new Star Wars game in any given year is like saying there will be a new Tony Hawk Game, a new Dragon Ball game, and a new Madden game in any given year

You got to admit, when you write it out, you're pretty much saying "if it's not as good as any of the last 6 or 7 games, it won't be good"....
Lucas has been on a role lately (omitting EPIII). My favorite title is still Jedi Outcast. I would love a bridged timeline game where no Jedi's remain at the beginning and you have a great darkly themed FPS that molds into a action/light saber type title the way JO did. Defintely some potential here. Not big news until they show me something that drops my jaws though.

What about Rogue Squadron or Lego SW? In my opinion, the PC X-Wing and Tie-Fighter games were the best Star Wars games I ever played.

the brief talk about it in a couple of mags has been fairly positive
Am I the only person who like the Ep.III game? (I'm assuming 'yes')

I'd almost kill for a 360 version of the X-Wing or Tie-Fighter games.

I hated Lego Star Wars, and I don't see why everyone gets so excited about it. The whole game basacially revolved around force pushing lego's around for coins... it was kinda easy, short, and mostly a rental.

I have to agree with you there. I bought into all the praise and turned out not being very excited with it. Unlocking characters is cool, but not when they all do the same damn thing.

The epIII game wasn't bad really, just had a slow start. But the jedi temple stage has to be my favorite level by far in any star wars game.

Oh, good. Then not only did it originate from a clearly unbiased source, but it was filtered through ANOTHER clearly unbiased source along the way.

Gamerankings average: 65%. Maybe even 64% since that Jedi seems to have stolen Rain's repeating telekinetic slam in that scene near the end.

That looks kinda cool, but I want to see a Rogue Squadron type game on the 360.
Imagine the Battle of Endor or the Battle of Coruscant with dozens of capital ships and hundreds of fighter flying around.

Well, the point of the video was to show off the Euphoria engine's ability to handle force powers. That being said, I was a little disappointed as well there was no lightsaber action.
