Went to TRU yesterday for the special downloads. Stayed out in the car and was
able to get all 6. The message in the bottle from Katrina talked about a simian visiting towns. I didn't think anything of it, but this morning I entered the town and was surprised to see a new neighbor, Tammi, a monkey.
I've been doing some searching and found that there are multiple monkeys
available. So I took the kids this evening to TRU, they were jealous. Anyone else get a new monkey neighbor?

how do you know if you are in range? does it tell you in tag mode or do you have to test the wifi settings?

I was outside in the car parked up close to the bldg. The VG section in my store is in the front of the store on one end. When your in tag mode, it scans for a signal, it ususally took between 5 and 10 sec. to pick up a signal, it just tells you that you have a message. I'd say I was about 40 ft from the download station, and the bldg is concrete.

2 - Flag Poles
2 - Green Pipes
2 - Star Man
1 - Fire Bar
What is the one I am missing? I got most in-store, then I went and got one right outside the building (they were closing), then I went to the car and tried to get one to no avail, so I guess I'll have to go back for the last one and maybe park around the side :lol:

i went back to tru today for the dl with two message bottles ready. each time i released and went into tag mode i got the same letter from someone named kartrina. it was pretty gay...something about visiting mystical islands and it ended with some nonsense blabber "kaka chu chu" or something. is this an ingame letter or did some other ds owner take time to write a five or six line nonsense letter TWICE? i'm thinking my tru doesn't have this dl station or if it does someone forgot to turn it on with the "exclusive" items.

Katrina is the giver of the special items, but it looks like your particular download station is set up wrong.

i couldnt get it to work, id either pick up my own note in a bottle. or i got one that only said "now"

Nana the monkey just moved in into my town * and elise did too! I got 4 of the 6 items, if anyone has the warp tube or a flag pole pm me if you wanna let me have them :)

actually if was cleaning out my bottle mail and it seems that in addition to the corny mail katrina sent there was a present in the bottom of the bottle...starman and warp pipe. i wish that i had known the gifts were there, i would have gone back and got the rest of the goodies. i just thought the dl station was fucked...oh well at least i got 2
