Well, I think the DS is the first region free device I've ever had so I figured I'd check out what games are overseas that are worth getting. Does anyone know what games I should look into? I have a few requirements:
-A dumb American without an understanding of Japanese needs to be able to bludgen their way through without paying attention to those pesky foreign languages.
-It needs to be for DS, not GBA
-It shouldn't sux0r
-It shouldn't be a game that is out over her or will be out over here eventually (I can be patient)
Is there anything that fits this description? Thanks

- Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan (Rhythm game; a spiritual sequel, Elite Beat Agents, has been announced for the US, but the original's Cheer Team atmosphere and rockin' J-Pop music still makes this game a must-buy import)
- Bleach DS (Fighting game that can use Nintendo WFC; Bleach is coming to Adult Swim in the Fall, but this game has not been announced yet. Also, a sequel is coming out, so it might be wise to wait for that)
- Jump SuperStars (Fighting game; absolutely no chance of coming to the US, but a sequel is going to be released in the future, so you might want to wait for that)
- Daigassou! Band Brothers (Rhythm game/MIDI synthesizer; was announced as "Jam With the Band" for the US release, but it has been delayed ever since; the game's future in the US is in question)

G Generation DS. I heard it was good, and I'm planning to get it. Although, prior knowledge of Gundam is required to make things a lot easier. It's a strategy RPG.

Well Im only intrested in games that will never ever get imported to the US. I dont want to import them, only to find out they will be released in the states with added content and free action figures or something like that.

That "Starfi" game is supposed to be pretty good. Looks like Super Princess Peach.

Err.. G Generation DS will never release over here. All Gundam series + movies haven't been released in the US yet, and it will take a while to move them all.

Unou no Tatsujin Soukai! Machigai Museum (http://www.dualscreenradio.com/database/viewgame.php?gameid=294)
This game completely rocks...Sleeper game if there ever was one and easily playable although its in Japanese.
Check out a small flash demo on its home page (http://namco-ch.net/matigai_museum/trial/trial_music.php).

I must admit Jump! Superstars has been ruling my brain for the past week and I'm not even an anime/manga fan. I learned the menu system pretty well(thnx to ign/gamefaqs) just for the incentive of unlocking a wacky new character. I do wish the battles were a bit longer tho.
I also imported the "best price" version of Phoenix Wright because the US vers. is so hard to find. It has a full english option and was only 30 beans at play-asia.
I plan on acquiring Bleach DS soon, tho I here the wifi is pretty laggy over here.
But Elite Beat Agents is coming here November, thats kinda soon . . . ish?

isn't it supposed to be pretty impossible to unlock the new characters? you're supposed to guess who it is based on something they say, which is in illegible japanese lol

I imported Wizardry Asterik and haven't been able to even enter a dungeon due to my lack of any japanese. I wish I could play the game though.......
