I am a big Civilization fan... I have been playing the game since Civ 1 around 1992. I've played CivNet, Civ2, Civ2 Gold, Civ 3, Civ 3 Conquest, Civ4. I pre-ordered Civ 4 from EB Games to get the special pre-order version and I had a $5 off coupon and used credit that I accumalated during the GT4 deal. Now, Civ 4 Warlords is out this week - do I pay full price using EB credit from the 3 for $10 deals, or do I wait until the price drops?

I believe Fry's has it on sale for... $24.99.

I'm going to wait to see if CC runs a deal a few weeks after it hits like they've done on most expansions to date.
$19.99 would be nice.

Yea - Circuit City is good like that. Of course the EB credit cost me next to nothing.
The scenarios in Warlords seem really cool - I may just have to get it this weekend.

I'm digging it so far. The vassal states can make war pretty insane. (For example, I was fighting Stalin, then he turned around and vassaled himself to Caesar..so now I'm at war with Caesar too. Then Montezuma and his 2 vassals jumped in on my side. Out of 9 civs remaining, 8 are at war.)

Well, as Roufuss stated, CC was bound to discount it - $17.99 is a pretty good price and I had a $5 gift card from a recent promo.
Started with the barbarian scenario as that one seemed like a cool concept. So far it seems fun. You play as the Barbarians, start the game 30 turns into it, get a set amount of gold to buy your units and upgrades/promotions, you don't have any cities. Cities that you capture are razed and you get more gold to buy more units. Of course pillaging improvements get you gold as well. You can even pillage City ruins to get some more money after razing a city.
Any one else have any thoughts about the game?
