Great deal considering the highest a Win98 user could use is a 2TB HD FAT32 of course not considering FAT64.

-100 for a 500GB sounds like a grand offer.

Are you able to rip out the HD and attach via IDE like an ordinary drive or does the drive have some kinda fancy connection stand alone ?

I think you can open it up, buy it may void the warranty.
