Which one of these games should I pick up?

PiT is excellent. The sprite animations are some of the nicest I've ever seen, the enemies are wildly imaginitive, and the gameplay is pretty fun although some of the bros. items are superfluous at best. By the end, I was relying on just two different attacks as my bread and butter.
Princess Peach is a pretty easy romp. I blew through it in two days and did the second run through by the end of the same week. Lots of unlockables and things to do but it's not a great personal purchase. I played through it to make sure it wasn't too challenging for my gf's sister but I wouldn't recommend buying it for personal use unless you're getting it at deep discount. NSMB is a *much* better platformer.

I have both, i love both!
They both use the rumble pack if you have it :D
PiT will last you longer. Took me about 22 hours. Peach a few days.
Ive been a big Peach fan, and I love her game very much. It is quick though. I'd wait for a sale. Possibly get it used?

Do you like platformers more or RPGs? Ask yourself that question as both are great games, and there's your answer.

Never played SPP, but Partners in Time...such...a...good...game. Beat it with a final time of 18.5 hours, and never once in that time did I get bored/sick/frustrated. Such a fun game. And the last 10% of the game was really challenging and really really fun all at the same time. Well, it really wasn't that challenging, since I had shit-tons of items at that point, but still...
Buy it.

Since the DS at present is an RPG starved system, and will still be that way even after Contact and FFIII come out, I would say that PiT is the better choice...there are plenty of good platformers out or coming out, NSMB being the most obvious of course and soon to be followed up by Yoshi's Island 2.
Also, while I havent played Peach, I think it is supposed to be far easier and shorter than PiT. On the other hand, it will depend on which genre you prefer.
I'm assuming you have NSMB, because if you don't, get that over the both of em.

I'd go with Mario and Luigi, if you can only have 1.
It's a bit longer, as Peach is super easy and even getting 100% doesn't take that long (not counting finding all the enemies).
Both are worth a purchase though.

Apples and Oranges.
I'd buy the GBA:PC Superstar Saga tbh (prequel to PiT). It's by far a superior game to PiT and one of the best GBA games out there. If you really like it then go for PiT.
(now, between the 2)
I enjoyed Princess Peach as a relaxing game I could breeze through (trauma center raped my mind). PiT was a bit stale for me and I couldn't wrap my mind around it for long lengths of time like I did for Superstar Saga.
So i'm a fan of Super Princess Peach, but PiT wasn't bad once you beat it. But I think that was just the thrill of finishing that damn game.

Princess Peach is pretty dumb IMO. I just kept compareing it to Mario Brothers, and being let down again and again
PiT all the way

I disagree. I played through both and found them about the same, quality wise. The addition of the babies in the second one was nice and added an extra layer of strategy/depth.
Both great games though.
Hell, get both.

PiT was incredible graphics wise and gameplay was... a button masher but a good one. But storyline wise SS crushed PiT hands down. Now if we could get both of them up to par with 7 stars...

Who cares about the storyline in a Mario game anyways? I thought both story lines were fine, because they both gave me an excuse to play a mario RPG.

PiT is probably more fun. Neither have that much replay value though. Id say rent both.

I've misplaced my PiT manual. Anyone know where I can find a scan of it or other online representation (besides gamefaqs gameguides control listings)?

Surprisingly, it's not on Nintendo's site. They do host PDFs of many of their booklets.
Replacementdocs.com is a bust, too.

I honestly enjoyed SPP more... PiT became way too repetitive near the final quarter of the game. But they're both great on their own terms.

I've just started PiT and it's a hoot. Great humor. Great animation and so far, flawlessly implemented. Just seeing the suitcase open and close is a pleasure.
