If you are planning on purchasing both Final Fantasy:CC and Metroid:Zero Mission, here is a way to save some money. Bestbuy is offering a $10 gift card instantly with the purchase of Final Fantasy:CC. Buy FF:CC for $44.99 using a Gamer Gift Card and get a $10.00 gift card instantly. Turn around and buy Metroid:ZM for $19.99 after Gamer Gift Card coupon, minus $10 from the free gift card, bringing the total for Metroid:ZM to $9.99. Total for both is $54 before taxes.... Good deal for those wanting both games...

Not sure if it'll work, as the GGC says its not valid with other offers...

My best buy has been putting the GGC in the video game section, usually next to the ps2 greatest hits games, but that just might be mine.

Ditto, all BB's in my area put them in with the games.

I'm just going to skip on the FF:CC and nab Metroid for a nice $17.50 after I use my %10 off coupon I got in the mail...along with a GGC of course.

I thought FF:CC was $49.99? Unless I misunderstood the post and you were including one of the discounts in the price (but wouldn't that be counting the GGC twice?). Basically you end up saving $15 total ($5 GGC bonus plus $10 card from purchasing FF:CC). This would make the final amount $60, unless I'm missing something. Either way, it's a deal I plan on taking advantage of!

FF:CC is $49.99. Use a Gamer Gift Card $5.00 off coupon and it drops the price to $44.99, plus you get the $10 gift card free. You can then use another Gamer Gift Card coupon and buy Metroid:ZM dropping the price to $19.99, minus $10 for the gift card you just got free for buying FF:CC, bringing the total to $9.99. $9.99 plus $44.99 = $54.98, minus taxes....

Here's my Plan :)
Pickup FF: CC $49.99 - $5 off = $44.99 and Metroid: Zero Mission $24.99 - $5 off = $19.99 - $6.50 (10% off coupon in the Mail) = $58.48 - $10 Gift Card = $48.00 plus taxes
Sound like BUY FF: CC & get Metroi: Zero Mission for "FREE" :)
Plus FREE Link Cable too ;)

Not sure if it'll work, as the GGC says its not valid with other offers...
given the above, it's very likely this idea of combining the $10 off certificate w/ the GGC will not work.

Okay, so there's TWO Gamer Gift Cards involved here, plus the $10 card from buying FF:CC... ?? heh, I'm new to this Gamer Card thing, so bear with me. Can you basically just buy a GGC each time you buy a game, and get $5 off every time (buying them all on separate receipts, and all that)? Do they basically give you five dollars for every game, as long as you're willing to go to the trouble of buying a game card separately?
Sorry if I am rambling, but I am excited by the prospects  .

you can buy as many GGCs at one time as you want, at least as far as I know. its just a gift certificate, with a coupon on the back. I bought two at once a few weeks back, and put $1 on each. you could probably buy ten at once, if you thought you'd use all the coupons before they expire.

Thanks for the tips guys... dude that is awesome! I'm heading straight for Best Buy on Wednesday! Hey even if I cant combine the $10 and $5 gift cards on Metroid, I can just buy some accessory or something so I can use all the discounts - an extra link cable, perhaps? By the way, someone mentioned something about a free GBA/GC link cable... is Best Buy doing the link cable thing too, or was that a different deal altogether (I know EB and Gamestop were doing it for pre-orders).

the minimum cost of the purchase must be $20, in order to use the $5 off coupon that comes with the GGC. just keep that in mind if you plan to buy a whole bunch, as that would be lots of purchases of at least $15.

I pickup 10 GGC's & put $1 Each on each card. Then go back Using all $10 plus 1 $5 off coupon (it printed out very very long Receipt).
I still have 9 coupon left & not worry about $1 left on each card :)

For those planning to use the 10% off coupon as well as the GGC - this will most likely not work, as you would be combining two coupons, which is against the terms printed on each.

So... now that these games are out, has anyone tried this? If you've tried to use the $10 card from FF:CC + the GGC, let us know if it worked!

If so, please explain what you did.

I went in to BestBuy and it worked fine. The $10 gift card you get free is just an ordinary gift card and does work with the $5.00 GGC. It comes with a gift card itself, so why wouldnt it work? The $5.00 GGC coupon doesnt ring up at all in my past 5 or so attempts. It always causes problems. They have to manually enter the coupon every time I use one. If they tell you it doesnt work, they are wrong. Worked fine here.

This should work because the GGC tends to work with bonus items, like the $10 gift card, or a demo disc, or a link cable, rather than other coupons, like the 10% off. And there should be no problem combining the GGC and the $10 gift card since gift cards are just like cash. It might be easier to do it in separate transactions though.

Hey y'all, just letting you know that this DOES WORK.
Here's how I did it:
First off, bear in mind my Best Buy has 2 exits. I went to the service desk to pick up my reserved copy of FF:CC. Got $10 off that I put down on it earlier, $5 off with a GGC, got the free $10 giftcard, and somehow it rang up $32 (I'm just lucky I guess!). Then I grabbed my shiny new gift card, picked up a copy of Metroid, and paid at the other exit of the store. Metroid - $10 gift card and $5 GGC = $11 with tax. Therefore, I got both games for about $53.
Hope this works for others!
Both games are incredible, though I did beat Metroid in a night
