Hey all, I recently bought the Battlefield 1942 Complete Collection. I installed it, and I then tried to install a cracked patch so I could play without the CD... then the mods didn't work. So, I tried to uninstall the game, which didn't work. Since that didn't work, I deleted all of the files in Program Files\EA Games\Battlefield 1942, and did the Run>Regedit and deleted all Battlefield related registries. Now when I try to install it, the computer freezes up on me. Any hints on what to do? Thanks in advance!

Although it would be nice to play a game without the damn cd drive whuring up, but anyways if you are having these problems, i suggest rolling back a few days to pre-1942 install...that should fix your problems.

Nope, didn't work. But, I did find a solution. I got Advanced Uninstaller PRO (Trial) and I used the "Force Uninstall" option, which took that game out like a hitman takes out a prostitute. In other words, it worked.

well thats intresting...usually when an install goes bad...or windows acts up because of an install i usually do a roll back and that fixes the problem.
