Johnson beats McKinney in Georgia.

If you didn't know who this was, she was the person that assaulted a Capitol policeman. She's done so much worse than that, but that's all I can type I'm so giddy.

Also, one of her entourage shoved a cameraman today, too. I hear she'll face Tonya Harding in the next celebrity boxing.

McKinney is a complete nutjob. Even in her concession speech she blamed the press for wanting to focus more on her hair than on the issues. Oh, and just before the speech, her staffers got in a fight with some members of the press after a boom mike bumped into McKinney's mother. Remember, this is the same woman who slapped a Capitol Police officer, and at the same incident her staffer attacked a member of the press. Oh, and in her concession speech she also praised Venezuela and Cuba as examples countries everywhere should follow. And that is just the tip of the iceberg, of course. Loony!

So much for the argument that the Democratic party of today only welcomes those privvy to far-left values and ideals. Of course, the CT primary received far greater mention in the news (in addition to Senators being better known than Reps), so I doubt many will bring this up as evidence of how what bullshit like Tony Snow argued today at his press briefing is totally unsubstantiated.

Can't say I'm sad to see her go. I do have an unsavory taste in my mouth from the lack of graceful concession speeches over the past two days. Don't these fuckers know they will make vastly larger sums of money working for special interest groups and lobbying organizations?

If they want to do that, there's still much work to be done, although McKinney was an excellent start. Next they should kick out William Jefferson, Jim Moran and Nancy Pelosi.

The Republicans, meanwhile, would do well to counter with Bob Ney and Ted Stevens.

I'll agree with Jefferson. Thanks to our culturally neutered attention span thanks to the media, that dude got off more or less scot-free. Nobody's brough up the shit he pulled in a month.

Sad thing is, and unfortunately it's most likely true, that if it wasn't a democrat, we'd still hear it every thirty minutes. I won't say why it is, but for the most part, if you're a democrat, it blows over.

Nah, he'll get a court date sooner or later. The FBI's got the goods on him, and it's just a matter of time until he goes up the river. Hopefully he'll resign and let someone with a less checkered record represent New Orleans (boy, do they need it!).
