does anyone know a good website that I can buy a new cell phone for a good price? I'm currently looking for a new LG KG-800, but I don't trust eBay enough, and I don't know any good cell phone websites... I'd really appreciate any help! Thanks in advance!

I froogled it and found some. Pretty expensive phone but I don't know about the reliability of any of the sites.

I'd use ebay and just by from some seller that sells a lot of cellphones and that offers shipping insurance.

I also recommend that site... you get more pictures out of that site then howardforums, but howardforums gets into the meat of each phone (how to hack/restore its features that a company forced the maker to turn off, aka VERIZON!!!)... howardforums helped me to restore the MP3 option on my phone which verizon tells me you CAN'T do MP3's unless you download via Vcast...bullshit.

I believe they call that "crippling", and it should definitely be illegal, especially when Verizon only does it for profit purposes.

I went with Alltel after hearing about Verizon doing the same thing with Bluetooth data transfer. I don't want to deal with a company that doesn't play by the rules.

OP: from the sound of it, if you run across a website offering your phone free such as Inphonic.com or Wirefly, stay far away from them until you read some reviews about them. They sound almost criminal in the way they set up their rebates.

Yeah that kind of stuff is ridiculous. It costs a little more, but getting an unlocked phone is the way to go.

funny when I was picking up my 8300 last week at the verizon store, the rep insisted that I could NOT do MP3's on it and if I wait for the chocolate phone (that came out this week) it could do both MP3 and WMA... Then he asked another rep and the other rep said, "yea you can unlock the 8300 to do mp3's..." I was able to unlock the MP3 feature within a few hours of getting the phone..and I have been happy ever since :)
