Right now I'm looking to make my own design for a checkbook cover by using Photoshop. Can any of the Photoshop experts around here give any suggestions towards either...

A) A template for making checkbook covers.

Or

B) What dimensions should I use for making it?

Major thanks in advance. And yes I'll post an JPG of it once its done for all of CAG to mock and laugh at.

Checkbook covers, huh? I'm assuming you're going to some special printer or something and NOT glueing a piece of paper over your checkbook. ;)

I just did some quick googling, and I found these sites:

As for size, that can depend. You'll want to measure it out yourself, but from what I see on Google, the size is roughly 6x2.5 or 6x3.

EDIT: Personal tip: For something like this that can have a variable size, make vectors so you can resize the cover without quality loss. Use the Pen tool to make your shapes. Or, if you have Illustrator, that's even better.

Why would you use the pen tool to make a rectangle shape? Unless these checkbook covers are a shape other than that.

Demolition Man: we would never mock at you, but feel free to mock at me, I've been in a web design block for over a week now :(

I'm assuming he's putting shapes/patterns on the checkbook, which he would have to make using the {ne tool.

Oh I see, yeah then {ne would be the perfect tool for that. ;)

Actually I got a checkbook cover that will just let me slide the artwork paper in for the cover design. I'm looking to do one simular to my current signature. :D
