What the hell? Does anyone else wonder why they make it so difficult on themselves? Use UPS to send it to USPS? I guess it only took two days to get where it is now, but it went from Austin to Greenville, SC to Atlanta. Who knows when it will have arrived here.
I bet it would have cost them the same amount to just UPS it, or Priority Mail it to me.

UPS is like $6 and Priority Mail is $4.05 so no its still cheaper for them to send it that way. It probably costs them like $2.50 and that is why it takes so long.

But that's just speculation. And it would be hard to tell because they would get a bulk rate, and UPS isn't exactly forthcoming with the rates for it.

They are already getting a bulk rate with UPS. The way they are shipping the items are the cheapest way they can with UPS.

In reality you're paying one company to pay another so both can handle your package. Waste of effort, IMO.

Oh yeah, that shit is retarded imo.
It pissed me off to see that UPS had it in my city, but instead of delivering it to me they dropped it off at the USPS which took an extra two days to get to me, instead of just dropping it off at my doorstep.
That's how DHL@Home works as well IIRC. I'm sure it's the cheapest method for the big O or they wouldn't do it.

Here's the thing, though: I ordered the ATL mistake on 7/14. It was shipped USPS and got here on the 17th. Friday, Monday. This was shipped UPS-MI on the 9th. Not here yet. I paid the same shipping amount.
Also, if I'm not mistaken, once it reaches USPS, I can't track it anymore. Why let me track it to the USPS station if I can't keep tracking it?

I've been waiting for my Dead Rising for a few days now from Overstock. It took UPS three days to update their website with any tracking information at all. The funny thing is that the package is in Auburn (a hour or so) from my house. If I lived anywhere else I would have gotten the damn thing before the shipping info updated.
I know that's not Overstock's doing, but when they take four days to ship out an order and their carrier of choice is several days behind their own methods it's frustrating.

I ordered a big piece of furniture from Overstock recently...got to me in 2 days. The couple times I got games...they were preorders and took like 2 weeks after they came out to get to me. Not sure when they were shipped though.
