Anyone have an extra Alltel phone laying around? My MIL had her cell phone stolen, and she needs a replacement just for a few months. I'm willing to pay, if need be, depending on which model you have. She would prefer a flip phone, but I will consider any Alltel-branded phone. Thanks. I am sure someone out there can help me out. Thanks in advance.

alltel will activate almost any cdma (Verizion, USCC, ect) phone except sprint, I believe. Just be careful buying a used phone. Make sure the esn is clear before activating it or you will have a paperweight.

I don't think that that is necessarily true. I'm pretty confident that Alltel requires Alltel branded phones....
