edit: also, for the sake of keeping speedy's sanity, perhaps people should ask one of the mods to post any additional info they may find amongst the various threads (cd and dvd/videogames) where appropriate. he already performs quite a service for all of us by going through as much work as he does to post this in multiple places as early as he does, so giving the guy a break here and there would probably be a nice way of saying "thank you." not getting on anybody's case, so don't get the wrong idea.

Glad you like the new format attempt. Suggestions are welcome but keep in mind I'm facing a shortage of time so keep requests / suggestions brief and concise. I did the same at DVDTalk so I'd like to see who HERE at CAG has some new ideas.

As I told Cheapy D, I'll take a stab at the uber threads for as long as I can (timewise). During the holidays, I may need some C+P speed demons from CAG to assist in the creation of the uber thread.

I'd Reccomend picking up Episode 1. I just finished it yesterday and it was definitley worth the 10 bucks. Not only that but Episode 2 (and Portal) is looking sick so your not gonna want to miss out on the story.

If you buy first, then PM at customer service, you get the 10%. If you just take the ad to the register, you will get the straight match.

I agree in terms of prices, but my local CC is terrible in terms of inventory and wait times. In the mornings they only have 1 person working the registers, returns, and pickups. Not until the line stretches toward the door will they bother to call for backup. This means it's very rare for me to be able to buy something without waiting at least 15 minutes in line. So I always try to PM at BBY where they have at least 3 registers open at all times. I only go to CC when I have no other alternatives. It sounds like it must be my local store that is this way because others don't seem to complain about the same problem.

Please don't say a game is great if you have never played it AND don't even have the system.

This game is awful and I agree that it doesn't warrant $35. A rent at best, but even then, you have renter's remorse (as I did) considering it is a bad version of Dynasty Warriors, which also sucks on the 360.

While this game has a nice storyling, the AI is incredibly retarded and graphics look no better than current-gen systems.

Constant hordes. This game is among the most repetitive I've ever played. There is very little strategy. Once you think you have a strategy in place, the AI of your troops messes it up in a heartbeat. There are few times where you aren't pressing buttons, watching your kill combos rising in the hundreds.

After reading a few reviews and reading what some CAGers had to say I'm going to pass. I was tempted to go pick this up, after beating Dead Rising I wanted a new 360 game. But I did just get Saints Row. The price was tempting for this one but I will wait for the drop to $20 or lower.

N3 isn't godawful by any means, but it's really only meant to be played in short bursts. Very short bursts. The game isn't terribly long if your sole objective is to get through all storylines (the first couple of characters take about an hour a piece to beat; some will only take 20 minutes)...if you have a high tolerance for killing horde after horde, you can try to max out every character to unlock that achievement. I just wish you didn't have to play through every character to unlock the others, though....Dwingvatt's story just felt like a giant waste of time.


Call of Duty 2, on the other hand, is easy to recommend. ;)

I personally bought Ninety-Nine Nights and enjoyed the game. If you like hack and slash type of games, you'll like N3.

Also, the game that coming out is <b>Samurai Warriors 2</b> not <b>Dynasty Warriors</b>. There is only 1 Dynasty Warriors out for the X360 in the US right now which is DW5: Empires. DW5 Special was only released in Japan. I think N3 easily beats SW1 in fun-factor. However, SW2 has better gameplay, but I like the nice change of pace in N3. So in the end, to each's own.

Yes, the voice acting was kind of questionable. It went from passable in some to downright grating in others. Playing through Inphyy's quest felt more of the latter than anything else.

My other complaint with the game was how cutscenes would interrupt you in the middle of a fight. You could be racking up a giant combo, and all of a sudden, some lame cutscene pops up for a second, of which when it pops back to action, you not only lost your combo, but the hordes of enemies are beating the hell out of you!

Still, it was a fun rental, if a bit on the short side. :)

Most places won't accept an ad print out. Go to a convience store close to you and grab a Sunday paper. Or just yank the CC ad out if you want. Take it to Walmart and ask them to get the game from the case and that you want to price match it. Simple as that. Though make sure you get the long one sheet ad for the Sun and Mon sale as its on that...

It depends on the store. Some need the actual ad to PM, and some will call the store to check if it's in stock. Some won't.
