I know that the Wii will be no where near the power(graphically) of the PS3 or Xbox360, but think of this. RE4 on the GC was one of the best looking games ever. If Nintendo has said that the Wii will be 2-3 as powerful as the GC, then that could mean that we could see Wii games 2 times as beautiful as RE4. If that is true, then... I'm speachless. I'm not too into the technical specs of all the consoles, and all this could be incorrect, but think about it.

RE4 was pretty but was lacking a lot of other things that more power could bring. The enviroments were static, there were no bulletholes or any interaction other than doors, boxes, and barrels; your lasersight didn't even show up on the walls. There was very little AI, more intelligence takes more processing power. There was absolutely no physics behind the enemies, they always fell down in the exact same way and disintegrated shortly thereafter. The enviroments were pretty small, and there was constant loading between enviroments (while not that long, it still broke up the gameplay).

Don't get me wrong, it was a great game. But so much more could be done with more power.

But the premise is correct... if you were blown away by RE4 with the shortcomings illustrated above, then there's no reason you'll be horrified and saddened by the technical capabilities of the Wii.

But that's relative to last gen. Compared to next gen, you won't be as impressed. But oh well.

Nintendo has always skimped on CPU power, and loaded up their consoles with custom ASICs. Remember, the CPU isn't the only processor in a computer.

That's just not true. The Gamecube had a more powerful CPU than the PS2, and the N64 had a faster processor than the Playstation or Saturn.
