View Full Version : Rumor: Unreal Tournament 2k7 releasing on Xbox 360; not PS3 exclusive

Days like these, when watching our fingernails grow is about all the news that comes our way, we heard that Unreal 2007 will not be an exclusive PS3 as earlier rumored. According to Nooz, Unreal 2007 is coming to Xbox 360, only it was overshadowed by the buzz and thunder of Epic's other Xbox 360 title Gears of War. Plus if Epic made a fuss about Unreal 2007 it would piss off Sony. So we heard. On a slow news day like this, this would be a medium size news except that it's more a rumor than news.

And here's a rumor from me:

Expect Mortal Kombat characters to be in Unreal Tournament 2k7. Boon was hinting that Mortal Kombat characters were going to show up in another franchise, but never stated what franchise -- expect it to be Unreal Tournament. (Both are published by Midway; Raiden was in Unreal Championship 2.)

yeah, but they also said one that you wouldn't expect. Then they stated that it won't be street fighter.
If anything, they would be expected in 2k7

Why would anyone expect Street Fighter in Unreal Tournament?

Expected or not, I hope more MK characters show up in Unreal Tournament.

That said, this doesn't really interest me. I want Gears of War, but if I'm going to play UT2k7, I'll just play it on the PC. UT2k(x) doesn't strike me as a particularly fun console experience, which is why I liked Unreal Championship 2...it seemed more console-like.

Too many PS3/Xbox 360 exclusive rumors. I know UT2k7 is better off on live .

No, the OXM with MK on the cover had something with Ed boon saying that MK characters would crossover with something you wouldn't expect. He then said that it wouldn't be street fighter.

I'd prefer another Unreal Championship. I think the UC2 style deserves another chance.

I can just model and skin on my own

woot...this is good news because MANY people dont have 1000 dollar PC's that can run games like this flawlessly

again FPS own on PC2 of your last 5 played games are FPS. It's obvious that FPS can't be done on a console and that they should only be done on the PC. You certainly don't play them.

What's the release date on this game? If it's Spring or Summer 2007, I'll think about getting it, but there are plenty of games otherwise if it releases at the end of this year or end of next year.

There's no doubt in my mind that UT 2k7 will come out for the 360.
I'm not sure if I'm going to get the PC or 360 version. I'll be sure to download a PC demo to see how well it runs on my machine.

Yeah, I'm so glad I have a PC capable of playing UT2007. FPS are so much better on PC. I can't even imagine playing UT2007 on a console. That would be terrible :headache:
