*MIGHT* be gettin a PSP tomorrow

Mmm.. just got paid, have the weekend off and I have $240 in SonyGift cards. I am pretty much definite that I want a PSP. I am. However, the thing is..I'm nervous only because I don't really want to get one and THEN have it drop in price soon. Clearly it will drop in price eventually--but when that 'eventually' comes, It might be too far into the future for me to even care for one. Especially since the holidays are pretty much right around the corner (ugh, believe it. it'll be here soon!!) and usually that's a good time for price drops/bundles.

What sucks for me is that I HAVE to go to a Sony store to buy this. I have giftcards for the SonyStyle store, so I HAVE to go there. So any "specials" don't apply to that.. because unlike Best Buy, TRU, CC, etc..they won't have a sale like "PSP, 256mb memory stick + Lumines for $250!" (just making an example)..so that sucks for me :(

Just wondering if anyone knows if theres going to be any new bundles or price drops in the NEAR future. Near future = before 2007.

None have been mentioned, and even the rumors are pretty baseless. I wouldn't forecast a price drop before 2007.

and probably there wont really be anything special for christmas this year because they will probably focus MORE on the PS3. but who knows i guess right?

Do you have a link to the redesign being definate. I've heard so much BS on these boards the last year, I don't know what the hell to believe.

PREFERABLY I'd want a white PSP. But.. can only use the giftcards at the sony store :(
