I'm going to start playing golf with my friends and I was looking to buy a cheap set of clubs so I stopped by the pawn shop today to see what they had. My friend bought a set of older clubs from there last week for $3. I decided to pass on buying a set last week, and today I wemt to check and see if the pawn shop had any of those sets left. They didn't, but I did find this set.

All of it came in a nice looking golf bag, with quite a few tees and some other misc stuff. I paid $65 for all of it. Here is a pic of everything in the bag. I had to use my cell phone to take the pic, but hopefully you'll be able to get a general idea of what the bag looks like.

So does anyone here who plays golf know how much this set is worth, and if I got a good deal on it? Also is this a good beginners set?

I've got a Golden Bear sand wedge that I have no problems with. I believe we used to sell that set when I worked at a sporting goods store after high school. I believe everything you got was around $200-$250 new.

good deal on the clubs. You're lucky to find a decent complete set of clubs for under $100.

How long ago did you you work at that store? I'd like to know around what year these clubs came out since I cannot find a thing about these clubs online. So far everyone I've shown the set to in person is surprised of the condition the clubs are in. A few people have said that it looks like these have only been used maybe 2-5 times or so.

I was thinking that these were around 1-3 years old. There was even a March 2006 Golf Tips mini magazine in one of the bag pockets.
