It's when you see a listing that looks somewhat promising, and you open it to find stupid deals such as these:

http://houston.craigslist.org/ele/201510760.html

If that link goes down, it's just a guy posting a Dreamcast with 45 games for $60. Not bad right? Until you read that they're all burned - he even tells you how much time and money went into burning these games. Screw you, pal!

I guess it doesn't matter to a lot of people, but the other thing that annoys me is when you see people selling "OVER 1,200 GAMES FOR 7 - COUNT 'EM - 7 DIFFERENT SYSTEMS!!!!!" and find out they're all ROMS for you to play "RIGHT ON YOU OWN COMPUTER AT HOME!

JUST $80!!

you seriously couldn't tell that the games were burnt from the title?

Well, anything's possible. I mean, if people actually give things away on Craigslist, who's to say you won't see a mom or girlfriend selling Junior's video game junk for cheap.

Yeah, everything has to be clicked 'cause you never know what they truly posted until you read and/or contact them.

i don't know if it helps, but whenever one of you folks posts one of those illegal listings, i always click on "Prohibited"... maybe if we all do that, they'll get deleted.

That's a sound piece of advice. Most of these ads are bogus but there many great deals to be had out there. I've picked up a JAP Saturn and every major fighter that can be played on the system for under 200 bucks. I love craigslist to death and I love the fact that I can meet people face to face instead of some shadowy Ebay seller.
