agree w/above. monoprice is the BEST when it comes to online cable purchases, and their shipping prices are very fair. screw brand name cables. and if it's marked "Monster", swallow your wallet and RUN.

For the most part, an optical cable is an optical cable no matter what the price. It carries a digital signal, which isn't going to be improved by "24k gold connectors" or "double helix nitrogen infused wiring." Some people will argue technical discrepancies regarding digital signals at extended cable lengths; but I guarantee you'll never notice the difference on your system.

I'd also like to "fourth" the suggestion of Monoprice. Awesome site.

I'll add another vote for monoprice.

Digital cables (Toslink, Coaxial, HDMI) simply pass 0's and 1's. Either the signal gets there or it doesn't. If the signal doesn't get there, you'll either have skipping audio or a breakup in image.
