View Full Version : Apologies for recent problems with the site

Just want to offer up my apologies for the site running so shitty lately.
However, things are looking up as we are now running the latest versions of Apache and PHP. We are going to upgrade mysql soon too. There may be a few more instances of some intermittent downtime, but hopefully nothing major.
I'm hoping these recent changes will improve performance and most especially fix the "blank page" error that happens so frequently. Since the changes, I haven't seen it surface, so I have my fingers crossed.

It's all good. I'm sure we all can appreciate all the hard work you put into the site. However, I'm not sure if this is relavent or if it's just my own computer screwing me over, but I get php error pages when I click on some links.

Nevermind I just cleared the cache and cookies and now it works. Before it would just come up with a blank white page.

Yeah, in the NFL Preseason thread in particular. I posted but I couldn't see my post or anything past 8:27am. Seems to have cleared up, though. I bumped my TL, but it was nowhere to be found on the thread list. (Fixed now).
It was bonkers.

Something that's really been irking me though, as it's been happening the last month or so (and it's getting so annoying that I'm actually coming to CAG less often now since I don't want to deal with it), is this issue with pages not loading. I'll click on a link or go to a specific forum and it'll take like 3 minutes to load the page. But if I hit refresh 3 or 4 times, then it'll load up instantly. It happens on almost every page. The only thing that loads up instantly everytime is the homepage. Is there ANYTHING that we can do about this? Also, I'm sure it's not my computer, as I saw posts about it from other people and I'm having this problem on 2 different computers in 2 different locations.

I'm having the same problem as Warner. Home page loads instantly, but forum pages take 20-30 seconds to load.

Exact same thing is happening to me. I'm using IE 6 and I have never had problems in the past.

Internet Explorer on both compters. One uses IE6 and the other is the newest version that is currently out (whatever it is).

And another thing, the CAGWiki button up there, its bg is repeated one to many, looks really bad. I'll see if I can fix it later, probably something with your CSS.

It's at the top and the bottom now, for your convenience.

The problem is fixed. Clear your cache or do a force-refresh (ctrl+F5).
