I just got my Reward Zone Certificates and at the bottom there was a coupon for $5 off Madden 07 when buying another video game. I bought a PS2 Jampack previews “game” that retails for $1.99, thus I paid $36.98 for my Madden. The CSR did not have to do an override or anything. (Math: $39.99 (madden)+$1.99 (jampack)-$5 coupon=$36.98)

You may be able to stack the $5 off any video game priced $19.99 or more coupon on the back of gift card cd's(I didn’t have one). Also, you may be able to find a cheaper video game than $1.99 i.e. a clearance one.

Eh... not reallly worth the effort when a GGC will give you $5 off straight up without the hassle.

No offense to BB, but these Reward Zone benefits continue to suck more each year. I mean, what's the point? They should offer more than what they give right now. At least offer us some better sales or something ... geesh!

Now that RZ will be free and nobody will pay to join, don't expect too much more.

I would like to know where you heard it's going to be free. Website still shows $9.99 per year fee.

It takes place September 12th or around that date. Reward Zone is going to be free but it will take 250,000 points to get a $5 off certificate, as opposed to 150,000 points.

Each point is a dollar, so the cost of free is that you'll need to spend 250 dollars instead of 150 to get a coupon, which sucks.

that is good to know.
just thought it was a little weird seeing two different usernames with the same post (with fatwallet having the earlier time stamp).

If you don't mind the game used, it's really hard to not log onto eBay and find it for roughly $45-$50 (w/shipping) as the "Buy It Now" price. I took my unsealed copy back to Gamestop earlier today (I just couldn't bring myself to open it after the uninspiring critical and 'community' responses), and put the credit towards Lego Star Wars II and the remaining ten bucks and change towards Bully. Last night, I picked up a used copy of Madden for $44 on eBay.

Keep in mind, if you factor real-world tax in, the game's already going for roughly one-third off on eBay. Considering that this is happening less than three weeks after release (and before the first NFL Sunday), $45 dollars is probably all it's worth in the first place. EA will underachieve with it yet again next year (although I'm sure the presence of the PS3 will make them try a little harder). Gamers will bitch but still buy it, out of habit, and out of weakness. Many will throw it up on eBay days later. That's where you get the game, save the money, and send a message to EA by costing them a 'new game' sale. I've learned my lessson.
