I don't know if this was said yet (not reading through 13 pages) but animecornerstore.com is having a 5 dollar per disc sale, and the only requirement is you buy two. So if there's maybe 12 titles you want, you don't need the get another 8. Although you should. Because, why not?

I was thinking of getting the AH! My mini Goddess. Is that any good? I haven't seen any of the other show/movie.

It's very cute, but very different from the OAV/Movie/TV series (I ordered it and enjoyed what of it I've watched so far). If you decide to pick it up, you might consider picking up the first dvd of Bottle Fairy as well -- if you like one, you'll most likely like the other.

On a similar note, if you want other things that are cute and require little thought to watch, Mao-chan is also included in the sale (just finished with the first disc tonight). The basic premise of the show is 3 second-graders fighting aliens. Cute aliens (literally, that's what they call them -- because they tend to be cute-looking animals).

you made some great choices. finally another ikki fan! i thought more people would pick this up, it has great fighting sequences and gradtuidus panty and cleavage shots. what more could you ask for in an anime?

That's cool. It stinks to have an incomplete set of a series you like.

No action, unless you're into people running around town wondering what trouble your naive persicom has innocently gotten herself into.

The series is over rated, IMO. On the face of it, it does sound amusing and entertaining; it's set up to have Chi (the girl persicom) into crazy situations where her naivete gets reactions from her owner or other men around her. There's some mystery as to her history, but it's a fairly weak story.

She's pretty, but that's about the best thing I can say for it. The series bored me tremendously. I've heard that the manga is better. As I haven't read it, I couldn't comment.

They are pretty much going in order by when you ordered. I ordered everything on the 11th/12th, and just got my first shipment yesterday (shipped the 21st I think). I changed one of my orders on the 21st, so I moved to the back of the queue for shipping (it's as if I placed the order on the 21st, even though it was the 12th).

BTW - yesterday was super fun! I received 28/60 DVDs. They all fit snugly in a big box, with 'bundles' of 7 DVDs each, wrapped in thick paper for padding. I sat on the floor like a kid at Christmas unwrapping them all, laying them out, and sorting them by title.

I noticed that Tokyo Underground Vols 1,2,4-6 had a sticker indicating they have pencil boards inside. So far that was the only 'extra' I saw. I'm not opening the DVDs until they all arrive, but I know that there are others with extras.

Edit: Oh good. I just checked that order I mentioned changing. Everything went back to being reserved for me (they were in the shipping stage when I changed the order), except for the 3 I changed which are on order. Lain 2 from my first order is also still 'on order', and the rest of the items from my first order are in shipment processing, but I think RS is waiting to ship them out with everything else. I'm estimating/hoping those shipping sometime next week.

Anyone else order Lain 2 and receive it, or is it on order for you guys too? Just curious.

Pretty much the same for me. My first order arrived yesterday, everything present & accounted for. My second order is now showing all "reserved for your order" except for the 3 Someday's Dreamers which I had swapped out.

As an added surprise, I had ordered Sugar: A Little Snow Fairy because I thought it sounded like something my wife & I would enjoy watching together. When it arrived & I started really looking at the cases, I realized we have seen some (but not all) of it before, and did really like it. :)

Shipped Complete and Processing because they are going to ship the one DVD that I didn't get with the order I received today. The status of each DVD taht I recieved says Shipped.
If it says Processing that means they are currently preparing the order for shipment and checking your credit information. Once your card goes through they will start shipping. It will say either Shipped Complete or Shipped Incomplete if they are waiting for more DVDs to arrive.

Geneon gave them a set quantity that they will send, and Shawne (the owner) has been putting up counters so people ordering will know how many they are going to be getting in and how many are left based on that number. On Order just means that they are not physically at their warehouse yet, but have been allocated a certain number. As long as you can order the item and it's not "sold out", you will get it (eventually).

The mail man (or lady or whatever) might or might not leave it, but instead leave a delivery slip. I belive that they will leave the package only if it's sent Media mail or Parcel.

The thing about media mail is that it's low priority. I've had it come into my city late thursday night and not get processed until late friday night and not get delivered till monday/tuesday. Sometimes I wish I could just drive down to the processing center and pick up my mail, it would be so much more convenient sometimes.

I don't know if I'd place a large order like 50 discs this late. What if they truly run out of stock on some of them and ask you for replacements to complete the order? That's my only concern with a large order like that.

I would go for it. Any of the titles with limited stock displays the number remaining right on the page. I already fit one last order in and am hardly worried about what i want going out of stock.

If the unlikely happened then worst case is that you pick a couple replacement titles or just can the whole order if you decide it's not worth it. Take advantage while you can! Chances are your order will ship the same time as my original one... Ordered the first day but still waiting on stock!

You will almost certainly get them but have patience. Its probably gonna be a few weeks before they ship.

Don't worry everyone! You guys will get your orders. For one thing, not everything is immediately at their warehouse, but as long as there is a counter and you can order the item, you will likely get it. It just takes a long time for them to ship them out.

With such a high volume of orders, they are doing a great job I think. They are pretty much going in order by when your order was placed. Plus, they have to wait for the item to arrive from Geneon. PLUS, they still have people placing regular orders.

I was a little nervous earlier this month, but seeing how Rightstuf has been handling this sale, I'm not worried at all. They are going as fast as they can.

For those of you who just ordered last week - give it time. I put 2 orders on the 11th and 1 on the 12th. My order on the 12th hasn't shipped (partly because I changed some items later), but even of my first orders: Half of the 1st(25) and all of the 2nd(10) shipped on the 21st. It's looking like a 10-14 day turn-around for getting your items shipped.

Everthing was really well packed, I noticed that some of the X DVDs came in nice black cardboard sleeves, it would have been nice to have a completely identical set, but I'm not complaining cause this deal was awesome.

Im probably gonna get the Texhnolyze box from Wherehouse for $12, the only Gamestop/EB/Moviestops by me only have the regular dvds. I'd love to find a Lain box as well, but im not holding my breath.

Texhnolyze has some of the coolest DVD cover artwork, I remember marveling at them at FYE, where they had the lenticular 3D inserts. In the set I got from the rightstuf sale only the first volume came with it.

I'd imagine the first run were the ones with the Lenticulars. Theyre probably mixed up in their shipments so its random whether you get a lenticular or not.

My Vol 1 came with it, but not Vol 2. I was able to find Vol 6 w/ Lenticular at EB before the Geneon sale started. The lenticulars are really cool looking (the first one seems to be the best). The box set that came out back in July has a bonus 3 lenticular "onserts". Cheapest i can find that box is around $90, so its not worth it.

Geneon will usually do special stuff like this with the first runs of their discs, as an incentive to buy early. This backfired when some stickered discs did *not* actually have the item inside, so now all Geneon bonuses are packaged on the outside where you can clearly see them.

Yes. All volumes had the lenticular covers but not all copies have them though. It is attached on the front cover so that you can tell immediately if you have it or not.

One floater out of 10 due to a broken hub, and it was the only one that had that kind of hub.

EDIT: I also meant to ask if anybody got any extras with their DVDs. My Chobits 5 and Haibane Renmei 4 came with penciboards.

My 18 DVDs actually came in a bigger box. The 25 DVD box came in four piles (7,7,6,5) of DVDs wrapped in brown paper, whereas the 18 DVD box had little cardboard barriers surrounding everything. Obviously, I'd prefer everything be sent the latter way, but everything I've ever received from righstuf has been packaged extremely well.

Just waiting on my last order and I can be a proud 100/100!

My last order shipped the 3rd (according to the tracking) and arrived yesterday (the 6th!) - wow was that fast and unexpected. Funnily, I was literally walking out the door to head up to Vermont when the postman delivered it. So I had to wait until I got back tonight to open them. Once I get all settled in, I'll sit down and open them, and then unwrap everything (I wanted to remove all the seals at once!)

Phew! Just spent a couple hours opening everything. Here's what I got for neat stuff/bonuses:
- Tokyo Underground 1-6 all had pencilboards (3 was resealed, didn't have a sticker indicating there was a board, but there was one).
- Texhnolyze 4 had the lenticular cover.
- Requiem from the Darkness 1 - pencilboard (resealed, no sticker indicating).
- Koi Kaze 2,3 had stickers.
- Sakura Wars had a super thick booklet.
- The Enishi figures are cute!

Ignore the ship date until the status says shipped. It's not always accurate. It displays when the order would ship if everything was in stock and they always push back the ship date manually until it actually ships.

Someone had requested a picture of the lenticular cover. It's basically like a pencilboard almost, but thicker and its like holograph-y. The image looks 3D. It's really cool. I don't think my picture captures it, but I'll post it anyway. The cover on the right is the lenticular insert. It came inside the plastic (over the regular cover).

Aww. Got an email from Rightstuf saying Lain 2 (regular) was cancelled by Geneon, so they won't be sending anymore. They gave me the option to switch it with the Signature Series, which I responded with a yes. Had a feeling that would happen, though I did get Lain 4 regular. Ah well.

Someone had requested a picture of the lenticular cover. It's basically like a pencilboard almost, but thicker and its like holograph-y. The image looks 3D. It's really cool. I don't think my picture captures it, but I'll post it anyway. The cover on the right is the lenticular insert. It came inside the plastic (over the regular cover).

I'm glad I got one for this cover, cuz I think it looks neat. Would've like it for Vols 1 and 6 too, as I also like those covers. Anyway, hope that helped some.

Sucks about the Lain 2 regular. At least the Sig. Series is there as a backup.
Speaking of Lain, all 4 discs just went into Processing status tonight. My whole order did. Before tonight 5 discs were reserved and 5 were on order.

Actually just had an interview today that pays like twice what I'm making now. I would of easily placed 1-3 more orders if I would of had that information when the sale started. Would of picked up X, Trigun, Ippo, Lupin, Texhnolyze, Jubei-Chan 2, Strawberry Eggs, Lunar Legend, Maid Team, some soundtracks, etc.....gah, this sale was so awesome...

Had to eBay a few (non-related items) things to pay for it, but it was so worth it; no regrets. I'd love to see some pics of sets that people over at AOD and DVDtalk got. Some placed like 7+ orders. :drool:

Victorious Boxers or something. Anyway, I suppose that it's technically your decision, but Fighting Spirit is worth $30 per DVD. Hell, it's worth more than a lot of people. And you get 5 episodes per disc which is nice.

The best anime deal ever & I endup spend $300 for 75 DVDs. I already received 25 DVDs & 45 DVD's is on the way home (maybe around this satursday) and 5 DVDs still back order. Ah, yes, Victorious Boxers. I told my friend about the sequel a few days ago (I also saw that thread; Just forgot the name of the game ^_^ ). He justified his early purchase of a PS2 because of that game. I never played it though (no PS2 for me). Unsurprisingly, he was psyched about the news; and only $10 to boot!
