I've been looking for an MP3 player/running buddy for a while. I've found the 2GB Sony S2 Sports Walkman MP3 player, which includes radio, stopwatch, pedometer and such. It costs $150 off of SonyStyle.com. I'm wondering if it will skip (like a CD player), because on the site it says "Anti-Skip: No Moving Parts!"
http://www.sonystyle.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP.enfinity/eCS/Store/en/-/USD/SY_DisplayProductInformation-Start?ProductSKU=NWS205FBLACK&INT=sstyle-MP3players-tophero-S2_walkman_2GB
Even though this one looks tempting, I'd prefer a 4-6GB for under $150, if possible. And one that is good for sports. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.

Forgot to mention that I don't like iPods. Too many flaws and not enough things you can do with them.
Does Best Buy sell those SanDisk? All I saw last time were iPods and Zen.
edit: goes at $200 on Overstock. Any place cheaper? double edit: $135 off of Amazon. Thanks!!
Sounds like you're looking for more capacity, but I love my $70 1 GB ZEN Nano. It's great for backpacking, which is what I got it for, because it runs on alkaline batteries (can't recharge in the woods) and weighs next to nothing (under 2 ounces with an Energizer E2 Lithium).

Yeah. I have about 2-3GB of music which I have ripped onto my computer. I'd need at least a 2GB with an expansion slot. Also, I believe the Zen Nano is mainly for pictures? I've heard that the music battery life isn't as good as other MP3 players. Not sure if it's true or not.
One thing that bothers me about the SanDisk is that it says "User-replaceable rechargeable lithium-ion battery". Does that mean I would have to change the battery often? What I'm trying to ask is how many recharges one battery would have.
6GB looks scrumptious. Costs less than the 4GB + 2GB SD card.

That just means that you are able to take out the battery and replace/upgrade it yourself. A lot of other MP3 players, including iPods, require you to send it to the manufacturer to replace the battery to avoid voiding your warranty.

If it says no moving parts, it's flash based. It won't skip, unlike hard drive based players (e.g. iPod). Flash-based players are best for jogging because they don't skip. If you're looking specifically for an exercise MP3 player, I would avoid anything that's hard drive based.

I have one too and can't recommend it enough (although the battery door is worthless).

Zen Nano has no color screen, just a monochrome display for a few lines of texts. It's flashed based and most flash-based players don't exceed 2GB as it becomes prohibitively expensive. The Nano peaks at 1GB. It's smaller than an iPod shuffle and has a built in FM radio tuner. The battery life isn't as good as say an iRiver (which run about 30 hours on a battery last I checked) but it's so small that it's perfect for jogging if you like to be as light as possible. It uses a single AAA battery, and I just use rechargable NiMHs with it.

Sweet. The Sansa is 6GB flash memory, and if I need to I can just buy a 1GB SD card. I put away $170 so I won't spend it on anything else.
Thanks guys!

Nope. This thing requires MicroSD. Quite a bit more expensive than normal.
On Newegg it says that it has USB 2.0 interface. Does that mean ONLY 2.0, or could I use it with my old normal USB port?

USB 2.0 devices are always backwards compatible, it's part of the design specifications. However, it'll take about an hour and a half to transfer 6GB of data at USB 1.1 speeds.

I've made up my mind to get the Sansa 6GB off of Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-SDMX4-6144-Sansa-Player-Expansion/dp/B000ETTFRG/sr=1-1/qid=1158433517/ref=pd_bbs_1/002-5208991-7636021?ie=UTF8&s=electronics) first thing tomorrow. It is cheap, apparently sturdy, and has nice features. I was just wondering if I could make it any more cheaper. Anyone have any Amazon.com coupons or know where I can get any?
Thanks again.
To comment below: Not worth it. Getting spam in the inbox, having to wait several days before I get the discount, and then having it only be worth $3. I was thinking more along the terms of a $20 coupon. Guess I'm outta luck. Thanks anyways.

The only amazon coupon that is not restricted to a certain item is going to be the a9 discount. Amazon will give you a pi/2 % (1.5% or so) discount for using their search engine www.a9.com on a regular basis.
