Joysticks? Do people still use those?
If you're looking for a controller, you can't go wrong with the one for PS2. Just drop by your local Radio Shack, get a PSX to USB adapter for $10, and voila - best. controller. ever.

Why would people not use joysticks anymore? I have an arcade joystick for fighting games.
But yes, your best bet is to get a USB adapter, then use whatever console controller (or joystick, or whatever) suits you.

Logitec has good one's and they even have some models that look like major consoles controllers if you are more comfortable with them

Go to www.play-asia.com and get yourself a PC Magic Box. It allows you to use a PS2, Saturn or Dreamcast controller. It costs about $25, and it's fantastic

Go with the Thrustmaster Cougar Setup-
I bought my F-16 FLCS back in 1996 and it still kicks ass for me in today's games. So after you figure the fact that the high end sticks last a hell of a long time- its worth it. :D
That and stop being cheap...... 8) go support the economy and buy stuff at full price so I can buy stuff cheap.

Never get the Logitech Dual Action Gamepad! It's cheap and it works like a PS2 controller, even getting rave reviews from mags like CGW, but users worldwide have reported calibration problems and the like.

I bought a Microsoft gamepad for $20. The price was $30 and you get a $10 rebate. It came from Wal- Mart.
