I'm pretty sure this is new as of today. Any chance that you can move this to below the Quick Reply box? It's throwing off my engrained mechanical memory when I post.

I gotta admit, I'm not digging it there either.

Wow, I sure didn't envision any complaints on that one.

I don't mind it but then again, it would be better under the quick reply.

I don't understand. How can you hate it?

It seems out of place to me. Maybe a move below the ads would make it not stand out as much.

I didn't even notice it until I saw this thread...

The addition is great and increases usability, but it's just out of place.

There are certain actions that every CAG does many times on a daily basis. Going to your CP. Going to Subscribed threads. Quoting responses. Quick Responding.

It gets so that you know where things will be, and you automatically do them. If I want to Quick Reply, I know that I just have to scroll down until i get to the end of the page, and then click in a certain location. But when I did that today, I clicked an ad (Cheapy you sly dog!).

There's certain things that are just assumed from a usability standpoint. Like if you moved the Quote button to the left side instead of the right, it would be a whole new thing to get used to. The trick when adding new features is to preserve the old ones. It sucks having to retrain your brain.

And I'm just complaining about minor stuff here. If you were to ever change the background color of the forums or something...hoo boy! I don't even want to think about the long winded rant that I would end up typing.

Ah well, can't blame a guy for trying.

I didn't know it was there, but now that you mention it, I loathe that bar from the depths of my black heart. Actually, I just wanted to quote Cheapy.

You said it...any time there's a change to the site, you're right there hammerin' keys over it.

I don't like it. As evilmax said, it's throwing me off when I try to quick reply.

If you click on the quick reply button (to the right of the quote button), it'll take you right to the quick reply box and allow you to type right away. No scrolling, no work. It'll cut down on your CAG posting time by 9% guaranteed*.

*9% decrease not actually guaranteed.

^ nofukenway!

edit: when I first saw that button I thought it was to do like a quick quote. It didn't so I just forgot about it.

I think it's useful. Saves me the time of scrolling all the way back up to the top of the page.
