View Full Version : Ridge Racers 2 - Coming to the US?

So Ridge Racers 2 finally came out on the PSP in Japan and I realized that I hadn't heard anything about a US release and that the game wasn't listed on any US retailer's site... so has there been any news that I just happened to miss or will I have to import this game?
I'm guessing that since this is a sequel that has the potential to be very good (it consists mainly of R4's tracks), SCEA probably decided it'd be best to shoot it down.

I loved the first Ridge Racer & was looking foward to the sequel. However, I found this article on IGN.

That's some shitty news (both it sucking and not coming out here as of yet) about RR 2 because I love the series.

Hmm... think I'll import the European version when it comes out. Anyone know if this includes absolutely all of the tracks from RR1 on the PSP?

Its coming to the US. Its a big seller. But dont waste your money...it looks exactly like the first and has the same course. Just that #2 has two extra tracks and like 2 extra new cars.

Absolutely nothing's been confirmed about a US release... it's essentially the same thing as with Tales of Eternia. Japanese release then European release... nothing for the US (likely because this is basically an update.) And I want it because it adds in all the good tracks from Ridge Racer 4 and some other tracks... considering that R4 is one of the best racing games ever, it's a godsend. And I can replace R4 and Ridge Racer 1 (PSP) with this game.

Well I never even touched RR on the PSP so I really want this update disguised as a sequel.
well if they plan to make any announcement it wont be in the fall.

That sucks that there are no tracks from the 360 version. Ridge Racer 6 is the only exclusive 360 game I really want and it would have been nice to get the same tracks in the PSP version.

Regardless if its confirmed or not, it will come to the US. RR is a big seller and regardless if its a minor update, people will buy it anyways.
