I called my GC and asked if they had heard what the pre order bonus was Saturday, they told me it was "a 20th anniversary pack". I went in and put $5 down on it and another monkey behind the counter said it was 20th anniversary pack but they had no clue what was in it. While I was there I also scored a 1/6th scale X-2 Yuna model which retails for about $25 normally for $5!

I still have doubts that this game will even hit stores in 2006. Despite GS and EB release dates. Konami's own website and IGN both have it listed as Fall 2007, and it's just a gut feeling that an official delay announcement will be confirmed in the next few weeks. Hope I'm wrong, although my wallet will thank me, too many good games coming the next few months and this is a no brainer must buy.

You people who think EB/GS will lower the price to the MSRP of $34.99 are kidding yourselves - they have consistently released GS games at $5 over MSRP (witness Clubhouse Games coming out next week at $34.99 - it is $29.99 everywhere else). And any BS about Best Buy or whoever getting discounts makes no sense - why does EB/GS ONLY do this with DS games? I don't see any overpriced PSP, PS2, GC, etc games... They just simply think they can get more money for them, which is fine - but we all just need to be aware of that and buy (most) DS games elsewhere :D.

Well for Suikoden V Game Crazy got the art cell and EB/GS got the artbook+soundtrack. Baten Katios TRU got soundtrack and EB/GS each got a different wallscroll. So it is not as rare as you think.

Actually, I have a Mario one that does just that and it's kind of neat. A small hard case. Basically, it's the same premise behind the old Game boy cases, except they figured, **** it, let's just make it a little thicker and it'll hold two.

Sounds purposeless, but it's actually perfect for sticking extra games in your pocket. Wouldn't feel same with them nude, and these little dual cases protect them quite well.

Well, I needed to switch a preorder at EB and was going through all their "Coming Soon" games. I stumbled upon this again and realized I had meant to preorder it anyway! D'oh! Hopefully when I pick up Contact and Summon Night 2 this evening I can switch that $5 preorder over, then pay it all off (which should help 'reserve' a gift pack for me). If they don't get the Gift Packs at my EB, I'll simply cancel the preorder and get it for the normal price somewhere else. That Gift Pack is the only incentive to preordering and paying $5 more than MSRP at EB.

I wouldn't worry yourself over it. It appears that EB/GS are the only retailers offering the bonus, so preorder it online or in store. I'm sure they will have enough... if not, oh well - such is life - you'll live.

Actually, that gives me an idea. Ill buy this at gamestop, keep my gamecrazy preorder and then whenever I receive the online gamestop pre order ill take it into the store and say my fiancee bought it for a gift and I had already bought it. Ill trade that for cash if I can and if I cant then hey I was gonna buy Echoes of Faydear next month for exactly $40 anyways hehe.

This way I get both the gamecrazy pre order bonus and gamestop one. If they end up being the same /shrug I sell one.

But, you have to do it B&M because EB doesn't have a website here. For the first time ever, the price for games at eb CANADA are the same as EB USA. Look at recent releases. Pokemon mystery dungeon, starfox command, mario vs DK 2, are ALL 34.99. This game, however is 39.99, same as the price advertised on the site. The bonus gift pack is advertised in the circular with Need for speed carbon as the cover. Check it out if you dont believe me. Also, I preorded at the coquitlam centre eb games and i'm the first person on the list. Noone knows about this deal. I preorder on oct/16/06.

The wax seal is an awesome touch... crap, I might have to order two just so I can leave one sealed. I'm really glad I ordered this before the hype machine went into overdrive, though. This is a really nice "thank you" from Konami to all of the Castlevania fans... they could have easily charged an extra $25 with an LE version... after all, it's not like they actually have to give anything away to get people to buy a Castlevania game.

I got one for myself, one to sell on eBay short-term (after 6 months, praying for limited release :pray: :lol:), and one for long-term (2+ years). The way I figure, worst case scenario, you EASILY get your money back. You'll never sell at a loss with that Gift Pack.

You wouldnt even have to keep the games. You can keep one for yourself then take the other into a different gamestop and tell them a loved one bought it for you and you had already bought it. Bam you payed for 1 game yet got 2 packages!

does this apply to in-store pre-orders? i went into GameStop two weeks ago to pre-order it. when i asked the manager yesterday about it, he said my pre-order mentioned nothing about a bonus, and that there was no separate sku listed for a pre-order bonus version. also, the price listed was still $35.00.

Same thing at my store, the manager had no idea what i was talking about, heres hoping when i go to pick up the game, my bonus isnt missing, given away to someone else, or just doesnt arrive at the store at all.

When GameStop lowers the price of a preorder do they normally apply the lower price to orders made before the change? Thankfully the price changed before my order was complete so my cart was updated to the lower price before I completed my order.

Don't worry, DoS will still be excellent. The Soul system is freaking great.

Awesome extras for preorders. Though I hope Konami has something special planned for the 20th anniversary other than this. I would love to see a Castlevania Anthology that has a bunch of the 2-D Castlevania's. Maybe Castlevania Chronicles, Simon's Quest, Castlevania 3, Super Castlevania, Dracula X Rondo of Blood (PC Engine CD-ROM version). We are long overdue for some type of compilation of Castlevania games. For me, the only one I haven't played yet is Dracula X Rondo of Blood.

I usually only preorder a game if it comes a nice preorder bonus and to date I have received every preorder bonus that I was suppose to get everytime I ordered from EBgames.com but Im not taking any chances on this one, I placed 2 seperate preorders with EB and 2 with Game stop just to make sure I get at least 2 of these collector packs.

On top of that I called the customer service number for Gamestop/EB and the rep told me that I could return any game that didnt come with its preorder bonus as long as its still factory sealed to either my nearest EB/Gamestop or call for a Return Authorization number..
