This was taken at my local Tsutaya, which is like a cross between a Tower Records and a Blockbuster.
For some reason, this particular Tsutaya doesn't sell any Xbox 360 products, but other Tsutaya's do. I can't imagine that Microsoft would be happy knowing their kiosk (and HD TV) are being used to showcase the latest PS2 Dynasty Warriors game.

wow just wow
I think the bigger question is why is the new Dynasty Warriors game in the Kiosk. Not much of a fan I guess. Almost all Kiosks I have seen anywhere have Madden in them.

The Japanese do not know Madden...
True that, I was not really thinking I guess.
Are there any football(American Football that is) in Japan? Just wondering, never been there or looked around or anything.
Ha ha ha! I don't blame though, that 360 kiosk is awesome...
It is shiny and smooth looking.

The new games on the 360 kiosk did kinda suck. But replacing them with dynasty warriors makes it worse. :(

Yes this is great man I always wanted to see something like this, this is even funnier than the time when I was at a Beer nuts stand and infront of the display case there is a tage that says "warning these products may have traces of peanuts" HAHAHAHAHA
Ouch to microsoft in Japan. Their systems just don't seem to take off their for some reason. Using their kiosk for a PS2 game is just mean

The Japanese are conservative, patriotic and close-minded. They boycott Xbox360 because they're afraid that the American console will fare better than their own Japanese consoles. Another thing, many Japanese game companies don't want to support Xbox360 because they afraid patriotic Japanese gamers won't buy their games. So yea, Microsoft should have learned its lessons to do business in Japan.
Look at Okami, the game is bombed in Japan just because the game is not familiar with any genre in Japan. I think the American gamers are more open-minded.

Its certainly a factor, but I think the main reason is that the 360 just has very little that the Japanese market is interested in. There are American products that do well over there against Japanese competition.
Its pretty much down to a vicious cycle of, developers don't want to make games for it because of its small installed base, and it has a small installed base because they can't get developers on board. Their marketing there is also terrible. Maybe they should've partnered with an established brand and let them do the marketing. There was a near bankrupt company there a while ago with name power that Microsoft, at this point, can't buy.
The marketing aspect is similar to what Sega went through before 1991, and after 1995. They didn't know the American market, didn't want to know the American market, and wondered why they sold so poorly here. The 4 years that Sega gave a competent American enough authority to do his job here, were their best years. Microsoft has no idea how to sell in the Japanese market, they don't know anything about Japanese sensibilities, and they have no one over there that is either competent enough, or with enough authority, to do their job.

Man, that's just plain fucking wrong. I remember back at GS, on of the other stores were caught having a PS1 in a Dreamcast kiosk. It was reported and the responsible person was fired.

No. But you can bet your ass Microsoft will pull thier kiosk and future ones if they got wind. I remember when a PS1 was hooked up in the Dreamcast display back in the day. Needless to say, we got a not soo friendly visit by the district manager that week :-/
