Well I won an auction for some dvds and the seller immediately became a non registered user after I won. I filed an item not recieved dispute thru paypal and he finally sent the dvds. They arrived broken and unplayable.

I tried to file an item not as described dispute via paypal only to be told that I can't since I already filed 1 dispute on the item. Paypal told me there is nothing I can do since they don't make exceptions.

I said F that and filed a report on paypal thru the Better Business Buerau. Less then 48 hours later i get a message from paypal offering to make a one time exception and issue me a full refund including shipping if I mail the items back to them, so I did. I got my refund from them yesterday so take that paypal :-)

Moral of the story, if paypal gives you hell report their ass to the BBB8-)

That's brilliant. I can't believe I never thought about that. I'm going to the BBB next time, and we all should until Paypal loosens up on their tyrranical practices. My whole day is brighter now after having heard that story. Thanks!!!

Wow. I thought the BBB was a useless entity that nobody ever took seriously. Kinda like the U.N.

Glad to see everything worked out for you. I think I'll start using the BBB now that I hear success stories like this.

I say we just file a bunch of complaints for fun.

I mean it's fucking Paypal. Fuck them.

See, I've said it before and I'll say it again: mentioning the BBB can make a difference. Everytime I've had a problem with a retailer or company, I mention the BBB and poof! All of a sudden they care to fix my problem.

Congrats on getting it all worked out dude!

not enough "pwned" in the story.
I was expecting a lot more action.

UN: Absolutely bloody useless group of dictator thugs helping out their fellow dictator thugs.

BBB: A lot more useful to the working man.

to my surprise, BBB actually works..not to stray too far off topic, i had a 2.5 month dispute with FYE, i was being ignored left and right about how they refused to refund $55 to my gift card, went to BBB..called me the next day, got my credit back 2 days later :)!

I think basically any major company could basically mop the floor with the BBB but that looks bad for their reputation.

So you stick it to Ebay/Paypal. Encore for Brian9824:applause:

So did you pay for the games and then got your money back ?

Can you share your letter to the BBB and the listing of the run away seller?

That why i dont join the BBB, i have my own business and they call me all the time to join. Funny thing is you have to pay a yearly fee depending how big the company is to join the BBB just to get pwned. If the company is not a member of the BBB, then the BBB cant do anything

Some customers don't bother using those companies that are not with the BBB, cause it's basically buyer beware with them. You're right, BBB can not do anything if you're not in it.

I paid for the dvds and then had to mail em back. Once they recieved em they issued me a full refund including what I paid for shipping. Minus the $5 i had to spend to mail it back to them.

I don't have the letter anymore but it was pretty straight forward. Just gave them all my info. Told them what paypal had told me about their policy and mentioned the loophole big enough to drive a truck thru.
