was gonna put this in the OT forum, but fuck it.

sighs and mumbled swears all around for this one.

The tip of the top 1% are worth $1.25 trillion fucking dollars. It's good that some of them are philanthropists, but still, IIRC, that's about 80% of the rest of the U.S.' wealth or more....as in almost everybody. The total number of people you see tomorrow, every single person you lay your eyes on, might not even have a combined income of a billion or two.

if that's not fucked up, I don't know what is.

(and yes, I know what capitalism is...doesn't make these figures any less off-putting.)

its nice that they gain 120 Billion while the min wage stays the same, so many people are below the living wage, many are without healthcare, and more people are still getting layed off/having a hard time to find a job.

Great to see the economy is working for somebody, trickle down FTW

Now I just need to send out 400 form letters asking for a $5 million dollar donation and I'll be set for life. Of course, you don't get to be a billionaire by throwing money away ...

Shit. They'd be even richer if they never had to pay anyone to work for them. We're keeping them down, dammit. Eliminate the equilibrium wage!
