The entire NOES box set is only 40 bucks. Also a very good pickup.

Yes, thats a great price. But this is a pretty nice DVD. I'm passing until the rumored HD version comes out. Since the new DVD is STILL missing a ton of deleted scenes present on the VHS and Laserdisc version.

I guess $16 is good enough to go for the double-dip before the eventual triple-dip on HD.

An HD release can only be called a triple dip if every DVD that was previously on VHS is called a double dip.

Grabbed one today with the coupon -- great looking DVD. Couldn't resist even though I've owned the boxset since 1999. Thanks to the OP!

On topic but different store. I was at Sam's Club today and say Nightmare on Elm Street 2, 3, 4, 5 and Final Nightmare for $4.88 each. They had quite a few horror movies for $4.88 (Texas Chain Massacre - Jessica Biel version was one i can remember)

Just how scary is the movie? I've only ever seen parts of any of the Nightmare on Elm Street movies. I'm looking for a good horror movie, but $20, or even $16 is alot to spend on a DVD nowadays. If it is as good as everyone says it is, I'd be willing to plunk down the money.

One of the best IMO + the kills were pretty inovative.

Just how scary is the movie?
Part 1 & 2 were mostly straight horror, quite a good scare with only a few laughs from Freddy's great lines.
Part 3: The Dream Warriors is where the series really hit it's stride, it gave Freddy his entire future persona, made the series a constant laugh while still being serious and scary, and had some of the best deaths of the series.
Parts 4-final (7?) were ok, but start going downhill with everything except Freddy's dialogue.
Part 8(?): New Nightmare was just plain strange, and worth watching, but isn't really the same as the others. They broke the 4th wall by making the storyline "what if Freddy REALLY was real", similar to Bride of Chucky.
If you haven't seen it, you might be disappointed with the 1st one, but you have to watch it anyways to enjoy the rest of the octology. You might as well rent them from a cheaper mom & pop or grocery rental places for about $1 each on VHS.

it's $ 19.99 online + B&M - even during it's release week it was $ 19.99 never $ 17.99 aka $ 18.00 - PLEASE ADVISE.

OK - I stand corrected - It *WAS* $ 17.99 during its release week - Sorry about that and still a decent coupon find for this rls.

Just a heads up for the people planning to buy the complete boxset from DDD.
Don't order anything else with it. I made the mistake of ordering it with NewsRadio Season 3 and they just crammed it all in one box, beating the hell out of the outside of my boxset
Looks like I'm going to have to send it back now.
