After spending 15 agonizing minutes with a thickly-accented foreign man, I was about to place the order for 3 copies of Kameo, which the website told me would cost $0. The man told me that the rebates are indeed Mail-In, and that you will be charged the $39.99 apiece right now for them. So I backed out before he put the order through. I hate mail-in rebates.

I still feel weird about giving him my address and CC info, but I used my citicard, and they are good about customer fraud protection, so I am not too worried.

Another reason why people should use virtual credit card numbers. I specified the limit on the number to be $10 - so they can't get more than $10 from that specific account number if they tried.

Personally I prefer CC or DC, because CC companies carry a lot of weight, can reverse charges, and will go to bat for you with legal work. I got my reciet in email, and it says total price $0, plus $10.22 for shipping. Nothing is even said about a rebate.

Actually there are TWO places on the page that say instant rebate, AND I only authorized a payment of $10.22. Lets see 'em get around that. Only two choices for them are to cancel the order, or ship it. Only way to get burnt on this one is if they happened to go out of buisiness.

What this company normally does is offer items for a super low price with mail in rebates, and then not honor the mail in rebates (alot of companies are doing this right now, really becoming a problem). So i had a customer service rep call me to confirm I had placed the order and to verify shipping. it was odd becuase they initially said the order was for 2 pdz, ( i ordered 2 pdz and 2 kameos) I gave them my order number and the item number for kameo and the rep said no problem, youre items will be shipped ups ground.
