World of Warcraft vs Guild Wars

for those of us who enjoy MMORPGs, which of these games is better? (besides the monthly fees)

I never played much RPGs, MMO etc, But picked up WOW during Beta and continued maybe 6~8 months afterwards, had alot of fun, cann't say anything negative about it. It has a rare gameing quality to it. However to me it got very repeatative and boring. Guild Wars didn't like at all, City of heroes didn't like at all. My advice would be if you haven't played WOW or Guild Wars, buy WOW it is 19.99 alot of places now get the cheap 6 month sub deal and play as much as possible. You will play it out of your blood stream and never go back. WOW makes you realize you like games that have a end.

I played WOW for a long time, and I thing it is such a waste of time. At least in Guild Wars I can play for a little while and get things done, plus there are the henchman, so you can always have help.

Personally, I got bored with Guild Wars before finishing the campaign. I didn't care for the PvP much either.

Now Warcraft.. I love/hate it. I had a lot of fun, and played it a TON. I quit, but I still think about it sometimes. ;)

I don't say either those MMORPGs tend to be a waste of time, you can play forever and never beat it, and theres usually crap for a story. Guild Wars though is definitely more worthwhile/feels more rewarding as it does somewhat end at a certain point. I never played WoW but I know what type of game it is...and I've played those type but different games....so ya stick to like console games and maybe an FPS for a stress reliever on PC lol. I usually play PC shooters during exams and tests or homework breaks...

And for GW I got bored @ lvl 17 on the first one...never finished the game.

They're both their own unique games. One is not better than the other. Transcend past petty arguments and play them yourself. Our opinions are worthless.
