btw, this deal works for anyplace that takes Google Checkout. I noticed DVD Empire has cheaper shipping than CDUniverse ($2.05 as opposed to $2.99), so it's probably worth checking out there also. (Okami is backordered at DVDEmpire though.) They do seem to have a decent selection of DS games at retail, which is good since CDUniverse has a bunch of DS games for above retail... but it's also bad cuz then a lot of games are $29.99.

I paid with my paypal credit card (extra 1.5% back for me) and it shows the amount that I got from google checkout. It doesn't matter what buy.com has posted, since they don't have access to your credit card. Google checkout gives them the money. (middle-man)

I suspect buy.com and the other site participate in google checkout because people will think google checkout is more reliable and their credit card won't be stolen. Plus, they get more business participating in the program.

I feel the same way. This seems like such a good deal and I keep thinking that there should be better things to order with it, but so far I haven't really found anything. I checked my bank account and it says 10/02/06 GOOGLE*BUY COM $45.99, so it was definitely charged. I assume it's on the way and might even be here tomorrow, but this is definitely kind of disturbing..... hell there's even an order for a WAP that I apparently got almost a year ago, but not this recent on that was just done a week ago :/

The emails are a bit off. I got an email saying my items were sent...then a few days later i got another email for another item i bought (same day as the first two) saying it was shipped out. Then...a few days after that, all 3 of my packages arrived :)

BTW, I've been wondering this a long time.... how are the games you get when you buy from Gamefly? They say they're guaranteed and apparently the manual/case aren't used (so I imagine they're in a very nice condition), so I don't see anything to warrant the crazy low prices except for maybe a Gamefly sticker on the discs......

I've bought games from GameFly in the past when they had a sale and they were in great condition. I've never been a member though. Does anyone know if the google discount can be used on a "Keep It" purchase? They only have about 15 games that are over $30 in their store and there's no way to buy more than one game at a time, so you're limited to those games if you want to use the Google checkout deal. But if I understand it correctly, you can use Keep It for any game that they rent, which would increase the selection of $30+ games by quite a bit.

Make sure you're not logged in at buy.com when you try.

To me it looks like they changed a few things around. I had put Baten Kaitos origins in the cart (Buy.com) and the Google Checkout was grey.

Other sites, like CDUniverse, BestPrices, and DVDEmpire seem to not have any limitations. I think too many people were buying stuff at Buy.com for $10 off.

Sorry for not clarifying but I have used it twice at buy.com and it won't let me use it again. I am not logged in, I do not have any pre-orders in my cart, I even tried clearing all cookies and trying again.

It allows me to click on the google checkout button, but when it goes to the next page the $10.00 discount isn't there.

Anyone else having trouble with BestPrices.com? Myself and a friend of mine just checked out (he tried Guitar Hero 2, I tried FFIII DS) and Google Checkout didn't show up.
It has me a little worried, because I already pre-ordered Castlevania PoR from them.

Edit: Apparently he got it to work ($6x.xx for Guitar Hero 2, as well, which is pretty crazy). Maybe I just tried at a bad time.
